    Abraham: Ikeke, Miranda x2, Marquez, Eastman

    Hardly far better than Abraham who is also trying to get Pavlik on his resume.

    The best two opponents Jermain had at the time were Abraham or Pavlik, Miranda was coming off losses to both those guys so no he didn't exactly have a WAY deeper division to choose from going in against Pavlik.

    Not at all man, I've been a fan of Abraham for a very long time, when he fought Eastman to be exact. If I hate on Pavlik you would find me asking why he isn't asking for a rematch with Hopkins or any other delusional/ridiculous **** like that. How many fans randomly drop into threads Pavlik related asking for an Abraham fight?, it's the best fight to make at middleweight now, doubt all are haters because they want to see a fight with Abraham.

    Ikeke? Never did anything important before or after Abraham.

    Eastman? The same version Got sparked in 7 rounds by Miranda.

    Marquez?:patsch Had a very recent draw with McKart. Pavlik fought a younger, fresher version of McKart in 2006 and became the first to stop McKart.

    That leaves Miranda. AA had to fight him twice in order to score one decisive win. Pavlik left no doubts, and became the first to stop Miranda, and did in 7 rounds.

    I do believe AA wants the fight, but Sauerland is not going to risk his marketing gimmick against the champ. If they had the amount they claimed they did for Sturm, how come we haven't heard any numbers like that for KP?

    Ikeke was a P4P fighter back then and a fighter people wanted Hopkins to fight, he was also a Freddy Roach fighter.

    Marquez beat Lorenzo is the eliminator fight, people expected Lorenzo to win to set up a major fight with Abraham but Marquez ruined his plans.

    Eastman was a solid opponent/test considering it was Abraham's 17th professional fight. Eastman lost to Miranda after the loss to Abraham and also had Miranda out on his feet at the end of round 5, the bell saved Miranda.

    If Abraham approached Pavlik the way he approached Ikeke, Sauerland would have to spend at least a week looking for all the parts to Arthur's head. The man was never that good.

    Miranda/Eastman was scheduled for 10 rounds, not 5, so your point is not relavant.

    If you want to call Marquez a good win, you have to also acknowledge that Pavlik's win over McKart in 2006 was a good win. Don't force me to go into all the connections between the currently shot to **** McKart, and Arthur's recent opponents.

    Where did I say Miranda/Eastman was a 5 rounder? :huh

    Ikeke was highly regarded at the time and considered a P4P fighter, not being that good now that he lost doesn't change facts back then.

    Marquez was coming off a win over the undefeated Lorenzo, McKart was coming off a loss to Simms. Comparable?, don't think so. Had he beat Simms, sure I'll agree, but he didn't.

    No, McKart was coming off a win over Jose Spearman at 168! And guess who Simon fought ONE FIGHT before Abraham?
