Could be,,,,A good boxer can frustrate him...Lewis is also real big and could push him back when mike gets in close..But then again, Mike was reelentless

Honestly, Id go for Tyson by UD.

Too fast & very hard to hit at his peak + he wouldnt run out of stamina either.
He could KO Lewis but Im expecting the best of both guys so I say UD.

i think lennoxs jab is hard to beat.do you think tyson would have been able to get under it enough

Yes, Mike`s bob & weave + his ability to be explosive in a heart beat & rush inside quickly would be HUGE factors vs Lewis.

Mike could take a good shot too so I dont see a 1 punch KO & I dont expect LL to score enough accumulation damage because as already said, peak Tyson`s defence was very strong.

    Tyson by UD.

    :thumbsup

imo lennox would win the early rounds and tyson wouldnt win enough of the later.i think lennox could bully him hold and push when tyson gets in close.he prob wouldnt get the ko but i think lewis wins ud.we will have to respectfully disagree as always(pryor-leonard,barrera-morales)although i do now agree with you bill on pryor-leonard

Lennox had an insanely good jab and tyson hated fighters with a good jab who could keep him at distance.
Tyson was all about fighting on the inside and utilising his peek a boo style.
Its a hard one to call as they both peaked at different points in there career and if tyson could get in close early and catch lewis cold he could win it.
But in all honesty Lewis frustrates Tyson with his jab and stops him in the 10th.

I personally think like when they actually fought, Lewis' uppercut ends up being the difference. Tyson went back to his corner and told them those upper cuts rocked him. I have no reason to thing the first round of when they fought wouldn't be similar in their primes. As the fight progesses, I think Lewis starts manhandling him, like he did when they fought and ends up keeping the later rounds on the outside and wins either via decision or TKO. If Tyson were to win it would have to be in the first 3-4 rounds IMO.

Could Tyson overwhelm Lewis? Absolutely he could.

Is it the most likely scenario? I think the above, (ie first paragraph) is the most likely outcome.

Tyson by knockout or decision. Either way Tyson wins this.

Lewis by late KO or UD

It'll be the same answer when another poster starts this thread next month. Honestly, this has to be the 1000th time I've seen this matchup.

i can talk about this one cause neither is active. retired fighters. tyson only ever faught big guys that were too bulked up and lacking in range of motion. who did a prime tyson face? michael spinks? old larry holmes? donovan ruddock?
lewis beat the present champ. lewis beat holyfield. holyfield is the only example of a boxer who could carry an overly bulked up frame and still be able to fight.
mike never had the kind of corner to guide him in a fight against lewis. even going back to teddy atlas. he'd have to hook up with hagglers old team and run a ton of marciano footage. even then, they wouldn't be able to help mike with timing. for that i don't know. angee dundee is the only one i can think of for that. still it'd be like putting a band-aid on a gaping wound. maybe joe calzaghes dad.
mike had great power, he also had great weaknesses, not least of which was his handling. watch mike in his prime, he was a house on fire. BUT that's not what you want.

Exactly. Lewis has too good of a jab & power of his own to keep Mike honest.

    Thats fair :good

Ps. yes, it would be a big upset if Pryor could have beat Leonard, Ive always seen SRL as a clear winner in this one, shame it never happened, it had potential to be a great fight stylistically.

I dunno...Lewis would have most to fear in the first 3 rounds...after that well its all Lewis IMO. I'll pick LL but not with massive confidence. Who said LL wins the first few then Tyson takes the later rounds? Eh? Thats weird IMO. Tyson wins the early rounds if he's gonna win any...he always always always slows up after the early rush - simply cos he's human and tires like everyone else...he always was a fast starter then slowed up later cos he couldnt sustain that early whirlwind! If Tyson does win this it has to be early or not at all. So my pick is LL late....just similar to how it went when they did fight. Tyson himself said of LL that he doubts he could ever have beaten him.
