even fighting a single elite opposition. How can this be? :patsch

Things like this would have never happened in Boxing's golden era.

Jake Lamotta and the other legends are laughing.

All the young fighters who want an easy road to a title should take after bute. Im not saying it was a total cakewalk but it's a FACT that he didnt earn his championship status. The Fact is that he's a champion yet there isnt one upper echelon opponent on his resume.. That's ridiculous.

How many of these Bute threads are you going to make? You're reaching Rico-like levels of ******ation.

What you say is true. But nearly every fighter and boxing fan is well aware that titles mean **** all these days. Winning a title as an achievement has really lost a lot of its shine in the last couple of years in particular. The only guys that seem to be unaware of the declining pretige of a title seems to be some of European based fighters (or their promoters), like your Kessler's and Abraham and Bute is a good example (although not really Euro).

The thing is, while a bit true, that apply to a lot of champions in boxing. But you are just a Bute hater so you talk about him.

You get the chance to fight for a title against Berrios. What are you suppose to say? "Hell no, The Great Finito will mock me"?

We all know you have to be watered twice a week man.

Andrade, Joppy, Bika and Zuniga all represent contenders and good fights.

I'd dare say SMW has seen bigger fights happen consistently than any other division other than WW during the ODLH years.

Andrade is a lower B level fighter but because he's in his prime and take a hell of a punch, he's a worthy contender... But wsup with Joppy, Bika, and Zuniga?? Are u serious about Joppy and Zuniga?:-(

Joppy has been done since 03 when Hopkins turned him into an elephant man.. I can't believe you'd mention Joppy as a credible opponent. :patsch

Bika gave Calzaghe one of his toughest ever fights and represents a damn tough fight for anyone to get past. Andrade vs Bika would probably see Bika win.

Joppy and Zuniga are "good fights" - like I said. You just have little to no clue about the state of play of boxing, more so you're a Boxrec watcher, not a fight watcher.

Anyone who says that JOPPY is a worthy opponent/good fight clearly dont know **** about boxing. It's obvious that u didnt watch boxing until 04,05..

This, coming from the guy that thinks La Motta was anything more than an equivalent version of Andrade, is quite funny.

Joppy is a good contender, as I said, if you watch fights and not Boxrec, you might have a clue, seeing as you don't have a clue, it doesn't make sense to you.
