We all know that pac ain't a true welter weight... he weigh in 138 against hatton and only weight in 142 during his oscar fight. Roach is asking cotto to move down to 145 just to insure that he won't balloon to 160 lbs at fight night.

Cotto weight in 146 during his fight with clotty, which means he only has to cut down a pound, 1 ****'n pound! yet these haters are crying like bitches, what they don't see is that even if they fight at 145 cotto will still outweight pac 8-10 pounds during the fight! now tell me who is at the real disadvantage?

the weight will not be the deciding factor on this fight! it would be skill and tactics which will decide the outcome. these haters and cottto nuthuggers are just scuuurd of the thought that pac might actually beat cotto... bitching bout 1-2 pounds is just a preempt excuse plain and simple!

If cotto signs the contract then no excuses!

I feel the same way, but you know these people will be playing the "Margarito ruined Cotto" card left and right if Pacquiao wins. There will be excuses.

By making him fight at 145 isn't making sure that he won't balloon to a certain wait. It's that he's making Cotto strain his body more so than normal.

If Cotto rehyrates to 160 normally and you make him cut extra weight, he will gain the weight back but he will have strained his body more than normal.

Floyd Mayweather weighs the same as Pacquaio but if Floyd told Cotto to fight at 145 he would be **** on.

These people are ******ed for complaining! i just wanna see this fight... this is probably one of the best fight that could be made this year. Cotto will have no problem making weight... he should be more concern bout picking the right trainer and bout the purse split and do his best to milk it so to get a bigger cut.

cotto weight 146 against clotty! it's just 1 pound!!! and he his fighting a smaller man this time too!
I tell you come fight night cotto will still have all the physical advantages over pac. pac advantage is his hand and foot speed... that's all.

Im not saying its going to happen but when Roach openly admitted to the public that the only way he would fight Cotto or Mosley is to have them drained what am I to believe?

1lb is a lot when you are pushing yourself. Im not saying its going to happen but its a big chance considering how sick Cotto looks already.

Moving up against someone who weighs no more than 5lbs against you is easier than moving down extra weight when you already cut 10-12lbs of weight already.

    (Marquez 141-144)

(Mayweather 149 [in an interview said he was down to 145/146])

That's because Hopkins is far superior in skill and outweighed him by a lot on fight night,

that's what i'm saying... it depends.

cotto is not bhop skilled but skilled and strong enough to give pac major problems. cotto will out weight pac 8-10 lbs.

Cotto didn't look sick in the Clottey fight. At 146 he looked very good at the weight in.

Here's the thing. I think Pac beats Cotto at 147 with ease and a lot of Pac fans admit 145 is no different from 147.

So why the **** are they fighting at 147?

Because they want to drain Cotto.

    hey

Castillo was 3lbs overweight against Castillo in their 2nd fight and couldn't even lose ONE extra pound. When you are pushing your bodys limits 1lb is A LOT.
