Why do people only look at cotto's side of the deal? pac is still the smaller man here.

pac = 140 fighter only weight 138 in his last fight/ hss to moved up at least 4 pounds (base on his fight with oscar).

cotto = 147 fighter weight in at 146 in his last fight/ has to cut down only a pound.

145 = fair weight! btw cotto will still outweigh pac by 8-10 lbs fight night.

Cotto's last fight is less than 3 weeks old and a November 14 date with Pacquiao is well on track. He is well aware of this since Pacquiao asked Arum to arrange a fight with him right after his victory over Clottey. Leaving him no excuse to blow up and instead keep his current form for the next 4-5 months in order to lose that extra 1 lb and make that 146 lb limit healthily.

I think your confuse cause this was Cotto idea about having the fight at 145 pounds cause Roach already made it clear it be a catchweight if Cotto vs Pacquiao happens. Roach never say he wanted the fight to be at 145 pounds. Roach from day one wanted the fight to be at 143 pounds. Now you saying hat losing 2 more pounds is not a big deal? Are you serious? You talk like Cotto never put on too much weight when he doesn't have a fight schedule lol.

Because Roach admitted to only wanting Mosley or Cotto if they are drained.

He weighed in at 138 Grats!! He weighed 148 against Hatton.

Castillo couldn't cut one extra lb against Corrales. Why do you seem to think 1lb is nothing?
If weight is such a factor why don't you show the same support for Mayweather who weighs as much as Pac?

Mayweather went after Gatti because it was the easiest fight available and most lucrative. I wish the server at ESB hadn't crashed. When the fight was made I said it will be like shooting fish in a barrel. One of the most one sided fight possible. There were other 140 llb belt holder at the time.

Were quite awhile away. Cotto can easily take time off and then hit the gym in September and still be fine.

Roach wants Cotto not at 100% that's a fact.

On top of all this I think pac beats Cotto even at 100%

Bull****. Gatti was the BEST AVAILABLE at the time.

Zoo fought for Showtime, and Floyd HBO. That fight could not be made.

Hatton turned Floyd down after the Gatti fight. His father stated they weren't ready for him yet.

Cotto was green at 140 and not ready.

Gatti was the best available. Harris proved why he wasn't good enough to fight Mayweather on the same card that Mayweather beat Gatti on.

That's because roach wants to meet them half way... the heaviest pac has ever weigh in was 142. Cotto wants to fight him at 145 and now that both parties agreed these bunch of ******s are complaining bout cotto getting weight drained when it was his request to fight a jr welter at 145.

Castillo agreed to rematch Corrales at 135 despite knowing his weight limitations and look what happened.

True, he could easily take time off. He has all the right to do so. But if you are about to fight probably the current best boxer in the world... your biggest fight so far, will you give yourself the luxury of taking a time off? I suppose he can't ill-afford to do that. But then again, it's his body... he has all the right to do what he wants to do with it.

Roach wants to gain advantage for manny as much as possible, well thats unfortunately part of his job, and consequently pac will agree on. Personally i like them to fight at 147 only because i want pac to further push himself and his legacy without the benefit of the catchweight. I will not go to saying pac wins against cotto but this will be a tougher fight compared to his last 3

Gatti was the best available. Im sorry but the Zoo fight could not be made at all.

    Hatton declined Mayweather.

Harris showed why he was not on Mayweathers level by losing to Maussa on the same night.

Gatti was the best available. That's a fact.

No Roach from day one wanted Cotto to fight at 143 pounds to face Pacquiao in which proves Roach wanted Cotto to kill himself to make weight and that's a clear fact. I haven't hear both parties agree to the fight taking place at 145 pounds. But if it's true then i hope it's no bs with Cotto only have to make up to 152 pounds on fight night.

So Cotto wanting this fight. Agreeing to it. If it gets signed, has 4 months to prepare for it, your still making excuse that this is unfair? Never mind that it's the bigger guy wanting a piece of a smaller guy. Cotto will have more then enough time to keep in shape. Yet it is the smaller guys fault if he has no discipline about his weight. Four months to weight in at 145, one lb less then his previous, a career defining fight, and if he can't make it then he needs to just retire. Lose this fight and Cotto can forget about his future as a boxer. Win this fight and the world is his.

You sign to fight a career defining fight then prepare for it.

You should. All work and no play is not healthy. Im not saying its going to happen that Cotto will be drained but what other reason for the fight to be at 145? In an attempt to drain Cotto.
