I never ever said they were the same size. I said they were close in size but Floyd is bigger.

nope. his retirement was entirely his own making eze.

he needs to man up and take responsibilities for his action. he is not so special as to alter the rules of the game according to his own whims and caprices.

pac has been fighting quality opponnents and has been through too many scraps compared to pbf. non stop since bursting into the scene against mab 6 years ago.

why should pbf get a free pass? is he so special compared to other boxers that it is ok for him to fight smaller and older fighters?

no eze, i have no sympathy for pbf who acts like a bratty chimp. just sad for a man with great skills.

Who else did you want him to fight?

    Hatton who declined him?

Cotto who Arum said was too green?

Or Zoo who was fighting for Showtime?

So Floyd should face someone like Cotto or Mosley or Pac in his first fight back but if he foguth Cotto or Mosley after they took an 18 month layoff its not okay?

So in your logic, 145 pounds is the same as 147 pounds if both fighters will still be effective at this weight then why not just have it at 147 pounds? It doesn't make any sense to even have the fight at 145 pounds if both as you say will still be effective. If 1 pound ain't a big deal then don't you think that at 147 pounds is no big deal either?

that is not true eze. where is danny_rand when you need him.

him, vanilla killaz and a few dumbskulls who voted, i think there were 8 of them who think that pac is bigger in size than pbf.

and that is where you are wrong eze. i have two threads to back it up.

dainty_randy was insisting that pac has bigger trunk, broader shoulders, thicker neck, thicker legs etc.

    :deal

and you say no one else???

    That's easy.

Why did Arum tell Floyd that he would get less money for bigger threats?

Compare the tale of the tape. If Pacs shoulders, neck and legs are bigger, then they are are. That doesn't mean Floyd is smaller than him, that means parts of his body are.

Floyd is bigger then Pac but not by much.

Morales was the same height and reach as Mayweather and Pac did not struggle with him the 2 extra times they fought.

    simple my friend. at 147.

pac will come in probably at 142 weigh in. fight night, 148.
cottow will come in 146-147 weigh in at will be 160 fight night.

    10-12 pounds difference.

    at 145.

pac will come in probably at 142 weigh in. fight night, 148.
cotto will come in at 144-145 weigh in. and will be 155-156 fight night.

    at 147, 10-12 pound difference.
    at 145, 6-8 pound difference.

which is the more balanced equation here considering force=mass x acceleration.

I realy think the 145 is mind game roach is using on Cotto. He wants the weight to be the them of the camp instead of actual training.

If Cotto was smart he'd sign this because if he wins, he just won the boxing lottery. Unlike many here I think Cotto will have no problem cutting that weight. If he truely is a good boxer then a goob big boxer should beat a smaller good boxer. Stay in boxing shape which should have him around 150 for the first few months then cut the extra lbs the last few months. To become great you have to sacrifice.

What worries me is not his weight. It's his trainer. He better get a better corner.

    THATS COMPLETELY FALSE.

You have no idea how things work.

If Cotto cuts to 145 instead of his normal 147. He will still gain weight back to 160 but he will have strained his body more than normal.

Please dont speak on the subject when you have zero knowledge on it.

you are splitting hairs here. pac has broader shoulders? the most prominent part of the human torso is the shoulders?

how on earth can one insist that pac has broader shoulders than pbf? seriously, you tell me.

i do not even need to measure that one to know the answer. :deal

Arum offered him 8 million to fight Margo who had done nothing much at the time. And the only way the fight could happen is if Floyd signed a mutli fight contract with Arum again. That promised less money for bigger threats.

Floyd turned him down, fought Baldomir for more money and the lineal championship.

Mosley has turned Floyd down 3 times.
