Just cannot be interested in boxing anymore.. fighters like Mayweather who wait until someones washed up, Freddie Roach who lets Pac fight weight drained veterans, Bob Arum is a ****, WBC etc etc

    Rant over.

It's all about $$$, if the money is right these guys will fight a polar bear if they have to. That's how it always was.

If Mayweather/Pac screws up because of money issues and never happens I'll make sure to blame whoever ruins it forever and I'm a fan of both.

thats just the way the sport is now. There's too much money in it for it not to be like that. One loss could basically end your career so they choose to pick their opponents very carefully to protect their careers.Like it or not You would do the same

:goodI can completely understand why boxing isn't as mainstream as it used to be. Way too many politics and backhanders go on in the sport. There are some good guys out there, though.

Amateurs are the ones who are still doing it for the 'glory'. Might want to make people think twice before turning pro. Once money and reputation are at stake, the myth and fantasy dies. The rest of the world still wants to be entertained, though.

I don't blame the fighters for picking their fights carefully, it's the alphabets I hate. If there was just a world champion for each weight, fighters in the end would have to fight each other. Otherwise all the RIP's that are flying around about boxing will be true.

i had a boxing talk with my friends yesterday who know absolutely **** all about boxing. When I say **** all I really mean it, like they wouldn't even know what a hook is. They basically said "yea I don't like it cause every fight is a world championship and i don't know what the hell is going on"

When I explaining about different sanctioning bodies, they just laughed it off

The alphabet titles are the cancer of boxing, and thats not an overstatement

It's extremely difficult to explain the alphabet straps to people, it's best not to try. You say "Well he's the WBA ordinary champ, he's the WBA super duper champ, he's the IBF and IBO champ, he's the WBO champ, and the other guy is the WBC champ". Just imagine what they're hearing.

this is why things like ufc do well. the best has to fight the best for the title. i really think that we need more unification fights, it tends to clear some things up as there wold be no one else to challenge

    LOL...What glory???

They're trying to make a name for themselves coz once they get in to pro with a good amateur record, they will be hyped and protected until they get their big money fights...Thats just how it is..:deal:deal:deal
