a guy like OLIVER LONTCHI, and LUCIANO CUELLO...

just asking cause juanma beats oliver, and it's considered a great win even though juanma is a solid champ already, with a shitload of skill and power....

but when chavez jr fights a guy like cuello and beats him, he's getting fed bums :huh.....

Juanma is going to be more popular than JCC because he has actually fought himself to where he is as opposed to having everything handed to him because of who his father is.

That is my answer. People are less critical of juanma because he is more liked. That is why he is getting more credit. Not saying it's right, just that is the way it is.

Why do you suppose Marquez gets more credit for beating Barrera than Pacquiao does.

exactly, you would figure that juanma should be going after the big names, not names that can be compared to guys on jc jr's resume.......right or wrong :deal

He's already known across the world. He's popular in certain areas with high mexican populations but the overwhelming majority of boxing fans despise the way that he has had everything simply handed to him. The controversy that he has had in the ring doesn't help his popularity either. in order to become popular like his father was he will have to start beating some bigger names.

Yes that is exactly what I am saying. Why do you suppose Cotto gets more credit for beating Judah than Floyd does. Or Morales gets more credit for beating Chavez than Mayweather does.

Marquez gets more credit for beating a shot Casamayor than PAcquiao does for beating much fresher fighters in Barrera and Hatton. Why do you suppose that is?
