He was world class. A very good puncher, decent fighter overall. Not top level but just below that.

He was 56-0 with 50 ko's and the heir to Julio Ceasar Chazez at one point.

Campas was a very limited boxer who made up for it with heavy hands and a pretty good chin!

Good enough that you had to be the real deal to beat him. He was just a notch below the elites and would expose anyone that was a pretender

The guy had exelent power and a unatural chin. Those flush shot he took against Trinidad where painfull.

i love watching this guy fight. yori boy was a badass brawler with granite chin who only lost to the elite when he was still in his prime.

Sounds about right. He had a BEAUTIFUL left hook, but he was limited. Definitely takes a world class fighter to take him out, but they'll take him out just about every time.

Maestrito Lopez was a better version of Yory Boy Campas, unfortunately, he lacked the motivation/dedication!

The human example of a Rock Em Sock Em robot. NASTY power, nasty chin and a scary pain threshold.

Scared the **** outta me against Trinidad.

damn straight. campas' left hook on trinidad was the shortest (and of the most pitch perfect) I've ever seen.

Best way of describing him. Amazing the guy is still a decent gatekeeper after so many wars
