Aside from the US national TV exposure, and associated glitz and glamor of sharing the stage with the biggest athletes and movie stars in the world, yep, this is true.

What do you say? This is what we do here.

You kidding? Anderson Silva gets it.

Pacquaio hasn't defeated a fighter who dominated his weight class for four or so years like Anderson Silva did when he beat Rich Franklin.

Pacquaio has only defeated fighters who had recent defeats before him.

Just realised Silva did that in 2007 (sheesh, it doesn't seem that long ago)

Probably then Lyoto Machida, undefeated fighter who gave the first loss to two undefeated fighters this year, whilst picking up the LHW title in the process.

You're the resident "ESPN expert," buddy boy. :rofl We know this. I'm a boxing fan.

Good PRESUMPTION though, expert. You have NO CLUE what they'll do.:roll::roll: Manny Pacquiao is one of the hottest things on two legs, IN THE WORLD, right now, across the board, and you're talking about how they won't even televise him receiving the award should he win, in advance. He's good enough for TIME Magazine, the E Channel, Primetime, CNN, 60 Minutes, ect, ect, ect - but NAH, ESPN won't even bother if he shows up! :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl Bravo.

It has to be Pacman... THE ONLY WAY HE WOULDNT BE IS IF JMM SHOCKS THE WORLD AND BEAT PBF which is very unprobable but still a possibility...

My boy is a big MMA fan and talks up Silva like I talk up Pac to him. After watching Silva's last 2 fights, which were complete snooze fests, and then comparing them to Pac's last 2 fights, I say this award is a foregone conclusion if ever I've seen one.

Where as, Silva actually faced the top guys in his division, like Machida did.

Lets give Pac back to June 2008

David Diaz - solid and a titlist, but not THE titlist.
ODLH - had just been beaten by Floyd and was well past his best days
Hatton - had just been beaten by Floyd.

They're not really that impressive when compared against Machida or Silva.
