gbp jinx goes all the way back to when they stole barrera. and immediately put him in against pacquiao.

the list of fighters who signed with gbp and lost is impressive

I very well remembered that... It was followed by Daniel Ponce De Leon being smashed by Celestino "THE TOWERING INFERNO" Caballero ...

The one on Barrera by Pacquiao was quite bad... It derailed MAB's career under GBP bigtime... GBP wasn't really making big money out of Barrera fights... Tho there's one big fight against Erik, the 3rd one but it was promoted by Top Rank... Barrera eventually left GBP...

It is HBO's own fault. HBO relies too much on GBP. HBO easily passed on Klitschko fights so that it was a long time coming. I do not remember watching a good fight on HBO for a long time. Usually only low divisions. Basically nothing.

So true... HBO relied partly on GBP to deliver these big fights for the summer; Klitscho-Haye, John-Juarez and PBF-JMM then what happened? HBO's summer boxing offering becomes so dull and uninteresting...

Shotime and Versus showed more interesting fights than HBO ...

I'm not sure if HBO is happy with the Diaz-Malignaggi fight result... HBO's in-house scorer/judge scored it for Malignaggi, 115-113 ...

With Pacquiao jumping to Showtime/CBS, HBO must be very pissed...
