No that's false. Putting on too much weight and be sluggish?

If Cotto starts at 160 and cuts down to 145. His body is going to rehydrate (if he does so properly) back to 160.

From 147 the same thing. It's not going to limit how much weight he puts on.

Floyd is a 140lber but his skill allows him to fight above it. He weighs the same Pacquiao and only would need to cut 5-9lbs (dependig on what he weighs now) to make 140.

He did say in an interview he weighed 145/146 for the Marquez fight already.

i am not too sure if you played competitively eze. me, as an athlete myself, we try not to stuff ourselves too much, especially if done over a short period of time.

can you imagine putting back 16 pounds of weight over 24 hours and expect to be in tiptop shape. i see fighters putting back 3, 6 or 8 pounds back after weigh in.

    but 16 lbs? :rofl

weighs the same as pacquiao ey. :yep:yep:yep sure man, whatever you say.

pac came in at 138 against hatton and clearly was at his best weight. pac going up to 147, i doubt if he can carry the weight very well.

    same weight with pbf. :rofl:rofl:rofl

Kermit Cintron was cutting and rehydrating 20+ lbs for every fight.

Clearly you do not understand what you talking about on this subject.

If Cotto starts at 160. He is not going to cut down to 145 then only add 12lbs. That'd be not properly rehydrating himself.

You don't do that, that's just stupid and unhealthy

Pac weighed in at 138 against Hatton and on fight night weighed 148 1/2.

Floyd when he fights at 147 weighs 147-149 on fight night. He was 146 against Judah.

He even stated he was down to 146 for the Marquez fight already.

are you a doctor by anychance or a nutritionist?

at 145, he will have to regain 15 pounds over night. and why did dlh with all his money fail to regain weight???

I have read quite a bit into nutrition and would help my friend who is an MMA fighter cut weight to 185 for his fights. From 205.

He doesn't weigh 160 on fight night. He weighs 158ish.

It's not about how much weight you put on, it's about how much you lost for that type of person.

Cotto looks to be pushing himself at 10+lbs already.

For whatever reason DLH did not do it properly. Only gaining 2lbs. Quite stupid. Pac outweighed him.

i honestly think floyd cant make 140 anymore....he is a very tiny welter....

if cotto signs the papers to fight at 145, then it shouldnt be a big deal.....

same logic applys to marquez, who signed the papers to fight floyd at 144....should be no arguments, by either side....

Castillo signed the papers to fight corrales at 135 and failed.

Floyd can make 140. He's cut 9lbs before to make weight and that's all he would need or less, considering he said he was weighing 146 already for Marquez.

well, we have differing opinions....its just the fighters fault if he signs the papers and failsto make weight......didnt castillo never fail to make weight before the second corrales fight?....these things happen, if the 2 fighters agree I think its no big deal......

i would have liked to see it at 147, but i understand team MP's demands...

Im not saying its going to happen. Ive been asking, why is this fight at 145 and not 147 if nothing is going to be different?

Because its an attempt to drain Cotto.

Losing 1lb could be hard or easy, it depends...If a fighter is draining himself just to get to that limit, then losing 1 more lb before weigh-in would be very difficult..

But in Cotto's case, he got 146lbs during Clottey fight easily..So losing 1more lb wont be difficult for him...:good

you really have a thick skull eze, either that or simply you cannot comprehend it.

at 147, pac will probably come in at 148. cotto will probably come in at 160.

difference of 12 ****ing pounds. how the hell can your stupid ass not see the advantage of cotto in this case?

attempt to drain him by losing 1 pound.

it's more like roach playing mind games to cotto, and not that "draining" angle you have in your head. :good
