Roach: "Cotto Is Tough For Pacquiao But Winnable"

    "Cotto is very strong, we have to fight a very intelligent fight. The thing is, he's big and strong and he's young. I think its a hard fight for us, Cotto is a strong puncher. Its a tough fight, but the way Manny is fighting right now, its a very winnable fight for us."

    On fighting Cotto instead of Mosley.

    "You had the Mosley-Cotto fight so whos the better fighter? You got to say its Cotto because when they fought Cotto won. So style-wise Shane is probably a little faster than Cotto but i think Mosley is just way overrated."

    margo made cotto take a knee....and mosley destroyed margo.....no way mosley is "overrated" this is the guy that beat a prime oscar the first time.....cotto would get KO'D by prime oscar at WW

    You could put up an argument that technically mosley is over rated... he would obviously kill pac but..

    I'm still a bit shocked this fight is even happening. Part of my perception is still locked in the period when this was still unthinkable. For sanity. I'm not going to get caught with my pants completely all the way ****ing down in case the lights come on.. Shiiiiit.. The only way Pacquiao can win, effectively, is by doing something remarkable. Cotto isn't just some big fwokin hump, he's highly skilled. This is wild.

    In all seriousness though...Im going with Cotto just for nuthugger's sakes and because he's got power and great timing. But I'd be lying if I said I was completely confident.

    I agree

    Just after the JMM rematch, when team Pacquiao started talking about Hatton,DLH and Mayweather I thought they were out of their minds. But now they could call out Wlad, say Pac can KO him and Ill believe them.

    Roach and team MP picked cotto for a reason.....and said no to mosley......

    roach said that when manny was at 130 he was thinking about hatton then...

    Mosley underrated? No way, Roach knows that Mosley would never lose to Pacquaio and would probably KO him. Cotto for Pacquaio is a great matchup right now. Roach knows what hes doing.

    You mean Overrated. and I think Pac could give Mosley a hard time. If you have decent speed its easy to hit Mosley. Mosley had an easy time against Marg cause he's is slow. did you see how easy it was for Cotto to hit Shane in there Fight. Cotto is still in his Prime. Shane is not getting any younger.
