No my fault, Rosner was an American but the bout was in Liverpool

Sorry Teeto i know nothing of him other than he lost to Wilde in Liverpool , he did however have a similar reputation to Wilde pre fight , the bout was fought @ 6 Stone 10lbs , Now there's a quest for you , track him down Teeto .

Edit , He lost to Wilde three times in all then went onto fight in Canada and America before returning home , these old timers liked their travels it seems lol

He would be what I would term a "box-fighter", capable of boxing ,but more inclined to mix it, he came at you firing punches from all angles.
Not trying to dodge the question but Wilde was a composite fighter, not a stylist ,neither was he a slugger,he threw a lot of leather and all of it was heavy.

He was a boxer who had a taste for hunting and the ability to punch holes in you.

Composed, plenty of punch placement, but hands by the waist, lots of forward motion and pumpin' arms.

For me Joe Louis and Alexis Arguello are what i describe as 'box fighters', not to say you are wrong, just to point that out. Well schooled, technically proficient in some areas, but want to engage in an offensive natured battle.

Well, we all have our own take on things.
Did you know Wilde used to spar with his wife Elizabeth?
Wilde was beaten up by a gang of brave boys on a deserted railway station , he also had a serious car accident ,he never recovered from either experience and spent his last years ,in a hospital , senile .He died aged 76.
