hatton was undefeated at that time, it was all hatton's and you have to consider the recessions after that..

Not to me...a great fight though for a true boxing fan. A mega fight IMO is a fight that has casual fans wanting to see it...Mayweather v Oscar...Sugar Ray v Marvelous...Tito V Oscar...Mike Tyson Vs Lewis...those are mega fights...

    How was it all Hatton?

Hatton had yet to even have a PPV in America. Yet he just somehow does 915k by himself?

Floyd is not a draw like Oscar.

Nor is Pac. Both need an opponent that will help them draw to do good numbers.

But before the recession. Pac fought Erik Morales and did 350k in their first fight.

While Floyd-Baldomir did 360k. Wouldn't Pac-Morales be way bigger considering they are both two big named opponents compared to Mayweather-Baldomir ?

Back then Floyd was a much bigger attraction than Pac.

    Thats no longer the case.

    We have no idea now.

We have to wait to see how the Marquez-Floyd numbers turn out.

So even though they saw two boring fights back to back according to you. People didn't realize he'd bore them to death? So they go and buy Hatton-Mayweather only to be entertained by a great fight and now they realize he'd bore them to death.

    :lol::lol::lol:

    Not really.

In my books, they're two of the three best boxers alive.

However, the size difference is significant.

Floyd has been in the high 140's and JMM hasn't been above 135.

And Age is a factor too. JMM is getting old.

It depends how you define mega fight.

It'll be a very big event, and should be an exciting fight, but the outcome won't be in much doubt.

    Caveat:

I expected Oscar to beat Pac (in a close 8-4 type decision) but he came in about 10 lbs lighter than I expected.

Mayweather might come in so rusty that there's an upset.

people showed probably either to watch the other fighter or expecting floyd to prove them wrong but it actually proved them right, which is to bore them to death..

i've never seen a P4P fighter that while still fighting, people are going out of the arena because of disgust, remember the baldomir fight?.

So they ordered Floyd-Hatton expecting Floyd to prove them wrong about being boring but he proved them right that he was boring by having a great fight against Hatton?

    :rofl:rofl
