Fair post but I disagree.:good Not many boxers are known around the world like Hatton, Pac, Oscar and PBF are. So by your definition and others in this tyhread that would mean the only megafights would be when they faced each other. This is a different climate now and although JMM isn't a household name he's one of the very best in the sport and by that alone when you have two top fighters facing off it should be a megafight.

You made some good points on the last part, but it dont matter...For one Floyd could have dropped down in weight and took the fight and the same excuses would apply. It is a double standard, and it show how different people change thier opinion depending on the fighter. Go check out the thread about is Duran over rated and you will find that many of the people that are making excuses about weight in this fight are the same ones saying that Duran moved up in weight to fight Leonard when in fact Duran had been fighting as a welterweight since the time that Ray turned pro. But since Floyd had three fights at welterweight vs three jr welterweights it makes him a huge welterweight and the weight the biggest factor in the fight.

What they are doing is looking for a way not to credit Floyd should he win the fight, I have seen it time and time again here with a number of fighters.

Nah, I get what you are saying...hell, in a perfect world, Nate Campbell and Timothy Bradley would be a mega fight. By a boxing fans standards, Floyd's fight with JMM is a mega fight...just not what I think of like Leonard vs Hagler. I got u tho:good

Campbell-Bradely is going to be one of the best fights of the year. I can't wait for it.

It's planned and suppose to be.

But it's not on even grounds and JMM has all the disadvantages . . . so NO.

For me, no. The two most skilled fighters in the world sans Hopkins though.

    No it's a mismatch

    Welterweight vs a lightweight

    Reason for low ticket sales

    oh i'm blind, eh?

everyone world wide seen floyds ignorant ass get in oscars face through out the entire promotion talking **** about how he's gonna give the fans a action packed, toe-to-toe battle, yap-yap-yap... whether he did it for promotion or really felt that way is irrelevant to what we're talking about. you must be blind, deaf & dumb. :good

pac, hatton, oscar & floyd all promised action. floyd was the one that went over the top only to end up fighting like he usually does. DEFENSIVE and taking NO CHANCES. why do you think so many fans were disappointed? i didnt hear any disappointment from pac-hatton other than manny folded him too damn quick.

Im not talking about the last round.

If you don't know then I suggest you watch the fight.

It was not a toe for toe battle with Mayweather chances every second but quite a few times he stood toe to toe with Oscar beating him to the punch.
