Pacquaio's Next Inevitable Honor - 2009 ESPY 'Fighter Of The Year'

Hatton was the man at 140 for more than 3 yrs. Floyd beat him at 147 but he was undefeated at 140, the division where Pac defeated him!

 

The MMA guy will win.

I'm a boxing fan, but I'm not voting for Pac. He didn't do what Machida has managed to do, he's beaten two recently beaten people in the last year.

Machida defeated two undefeated fighters on route to taking the title, didn't lose a single round and had a spectacular KO.

Pac is more than likely going to be Ring fighter of the year, but it's been a slow year for boxing.

Whatever makes you happy dude... But since you claimed that you're a boxing fan, how I wish that you supported a boxer rather than a MMA fighter... The boxers being nominated also deserves this award... As boxing fans, we're one happy community here and we mostly choose boxing over MMA 7 days a week...

The boxers nominated do not deserve the award because they're not facing the "top" in their division.

Had Pac faced Floyd and Mosley instead of Hatton and ODLH, then sure. But he didn't. Until boxers start facing each other the same way UFC fighters have too, they don't deserve the recognition as top fighters, they're not proving themselves as the best in their craft against the other bests.

 

so tell me who is the top welterweight when mosley faced margarito and who is the top jr welter when pac faced hatton?

UFC fighters do not all just face each other. Like Boxing you see the same fighters hashed out on the PPV. How many times does Chuck needs to get KOed before he doesn't headline an event? How many time does Rich Franklin, Vanderla, Rampage, and how the hell did Brock Lesner even earn a title shot with just two fights?

Whether you think does guys Pac fought is good or not is your opinion, not a fact. Again those are your opinion that the boxing world don't share.

 

Going by his logic Pac was suppose to call out a guy who wasn't even fighting instead of fighting the JW champ at the time.

 

1. Who gives a **** about the ESPYs? It's not like it's the Oscar's are something. Each sport has their MVP's, and championship games and what not.

2. Boxing is much more popular than MMA and any Boxer could whoop any MMA guy's ass...so a Boxer should be Fighter of the Year no matter what format a Boxer will win....Ray Mercer proves my point.
