the difference in level, class, talent and ability will be very evident in this fight. i give cotto a chance here solely on his 10+ lb size/strength advantage and nothing more.

I strongly disagree. DLH had one freaking great chin and pac couldn't put him out. no shame in that. he did tko him after all.

However i think miguel will get hit too much against pac and will be stopped in the middle rounds. But I'm hoping otherwise.

:patsch Watch Mosley destroy Margarito. His handspeed has not gone, it isn't what it was when he as a Lightweight, but Mosley still has blurring hand speed when he throws with conviction. Just so happens, Mosley only ever throws his shots with conviction.

Cotto beat a very good fighter in Mosley, who showed he still has a lot left in his last performance.

If it makes Pacquiao fans sleep at night thinking this is true than so be it, but Oscar has never been knocked out by a head shot, and Trinidad hits significantly harder than Manny.

Bro, trust me. It will be a great fight. It won't be a snoozefest and the PPV money spent will be well worth it. I admire cotto for having a warrior heart. That is the most important ability that every fighter should have. A boxer may have the skills but having no heart to fight on if the going gets tough will be the downfall for a fighter

First it was ODLH who would have been the biggest and strongest opponent pac has ever faced. Odds were in favor of oscar to win that fight. Then it was Hatton who would have been the biggest and the strongest LIVE opponent pac has ever faced. Although odds were in favor of pac, a lot of boxing insiders were favoring hatton to win or at least a 50/50 fight. Now its cotto who will be the biggest and strongest opponent pac will be facing. It really is amazing how far pac will go to test his limit. A true warrior worthy of representing boxing as its most famous superstar. :good

    How do figure ?

Torres is a KO specialist.....Manny isn't....he got a gift in Hatton's kamakazi approach with gloves at waist level.

I see Cotto seriously hurting Manny and Roach throwing in the towel !!!!

Maybe I should have been more clear. Shane is not as fast as he used to be. Besides, he fought a slow ass Margarito. Of course anybody who fights a very slow fighter will look very fast.

If it helps you feel better today, then yeah Oscar has never been knocked out. Sure. But Pacquiao was the first time to make him retire in the ring... Literally. It's just that Oscar was too stupid to go down. That's why that Beaner in the crowed called out Oscar and said " he won't quit like Oscaaarrrr". LOL Oscar had that shut the **** up grin on his face. HAHHAHA

I am utterly, utterly convinced of that outcome.

    Very simple reason: styles.

Cotto will have no means of stopping Pac raining shots off his skull all night.

Cotto will not be able to land to the body against Pac with any great frequency or impact.

Brutal accumulation stoppage in the mid-late rounds. I'll make any avatar bet with anyone on this site to that effect.

    :bbb

Why bring DLH up? His chin is iron. Cotto's chin is not as good as DLH's. I have no doubt Manny has the power to hurt him bad. But Cotto can hurt Manny too. I think Pac P4P is the better fighter, but Cotto has a chance because he's a bigger guy and good fighter himself. It's gonna be all about the speed about Pac, he needs to rely on it.

I guess you didn't see that fight against Hatton at 140 where he went to wonderland for 10 minutes. Both hands mind you.:patsch
