I haven't seen Drozd fight but I do know that Ding can be outboxed rather easily. I've been pretty critical of Ding as a fighter and I kind of feel bad about that. It would be cool to see him do some more damage but I just don't see it happening. He's gotta put himself in position to land the heavy punches and a good boxer who sticks to a fightplan will more often than not be able to keep him at bay. Ding's got the power. I just don't think he's got the ability to show it against a good opponent.
I too haven't see Dzrozd, but Ding has not looked good to me his last 2 or 3 fights only throwing 1 shot at a time. If he buckled down in trining camp and comes in in great shape he defiantley has a chance.
Arslan got a very brutal beating in the first two rounds of his encounter with Drozd-probably the worst first 2 rounds of his entire career as a prize fighter, but their fight was scheduled for 12 rounds if I remember correctly. Drozd had no excecutable game plan at all. What the hell was he thinking entering the ring like KingKOng and looking for a quick ko victory. He didnt seem to have a clue who was in front of his fists that night. Arslan may not crack an egg with his soft punches, but he was very known for his iron beard and outstanding stamina. The terms stategy and game plan seemed to be totally alien to Drozd's vocabulary.
Don't be sure of that . . . yes lost 3 of his last fights . . . but he is very capable of making a comeback.
Drozd is a good fighter. They're styles will make for a entertaining fight but I don't see Wilson winning tbh.
