    Calzaghe DESTROYED the 'Next Tyson'.

I bet a few Americans were in AWE of that performance.

^ thats unfair to american fight fans

loads of them were blown away by calzaghe

thought he'd lose to lacy, hopkins and jones, after he beat them all, a lot of american fans were really humble and gave joe a ton of respect

great win for calzaghe dominated lacy. maybe his best performance. but you have to admit lacy was hyped up. this guy was "NOT" the NEXT TYSON. that called wishful thinking on the part of american fans. lacy had already struggled with less opponets. reason calzaghe was an underdog has more to do people having no respect for him

Pull up your chairs keyboard warriors, time for some schooling. Its been proven medically that REPEATED PROLONGED tramua to the head is what causes brain damage. Not big ko's, no viscous punches, but REPEATED PROLONGED traumau. Now, i dont think i have ever seen as much of that as i have seen in the lacy cal fight, I mean the dude was hitting lacy with everything and lacy just stood their and took it. That was a career ending beating for lacy...... He's just not a good fighter anymore(forget the hype bs) he actually was pretty good when he was champ. But, in a few years i really fear for lacy's mental health. His trainer is a dickhead, i woulda threw in the towel after the 7th round. Everyone knew lacy's only chance to win was to land a big shot, and he didnt land ANYTHING. What a disgracful trainer :-(

In 10 years we will see lacy punchdrunk :dead :tired:nut

calzaghe ended lacy as a world tittle fighter that night i just think it is a pity joe did not fight a higher level of fighter earlier and and more often in his career ,i would of thrown the towel in after the ninth

As I see it the only one who got knocked down in that fight was Calzaghe. The only telling blows landed throughout the fight were by Hopkins. The only person's face who was busted up was Calzaghe.

And please, Hopkins mentally got better, sharper in the mind, with age, but it's apparently clear, especially in the Calzaghe fight, that he's physically past his prime. He can't do the things he did ten years ago, even if his mind tells him to do so, he just can't react as fast.

What's ashame is it isn't the boxer's job. It's the ****ing corner's job. Too many of them stand there with their willy in their hands instead of saving their fighter.

Around the 9th round. Joe ruined Lacy that night. Lacy was a knockout machine until he fought Joe. I liked Lacey myself.

Joe got Bhop pissed and off his gameplan. **** was funny when Bhop was complaining to Coretz and Cortez was like he did not hit you low. Joe nailed Bhop with a left and Hops got all mad swinging his arms and ****.

    i wulsay between the 7th and 10th..

and ****ing Joe "the Gosple" Calzaghe put a fucing beating on lacy. i had picked joe to win but din't think it would be like that. he absolutly obliterated him ,grinded him down to basicly a nub. i fro one hold Joe calzaghe very high he's one of my favorite fighters . people really do forget how much of an undergo joe was here in the USA. **** he was even slightly an underdog in the UK. that should tell you something i don't think anyone besides joe and his team thought the fight would end up that way.

the towel should have been thrown in at some point. defiately before those last two rounds where lacy just got slapped around badly. Lacy's corner was a disgrace that night. He showed great heart which is to be commended but its his corners responsibility to keep him safe and they let him down

agree with this. the seventh was ****ing brutal, lacy was totally out on his feet and not even defending himself towards the end. that was the time to call it quits.
