****er beat me to it:good toney's thumping of barkley is the best counter punching i've ever seen.

both chavez and taylor were exceptional at countering each other in their first contest. though taylor landed far more and made flurries in between chavez's punches, jcc was landing HARD, stiff shorts at the end of those flurries that added up.

duran counter punched the **** out of davey moore to the point where by the last few rounds he would just stand and wait for moore to throw a weak jab so he could pound him with counter combos for shits and giggles

85-87 Tyson countered damn near everyone he fought well. Head bobbing and weaving his ways through combinations, he'd wade through assaults and land picture perfect left hooks. Williams, Berbick and of course Spinks are examples

    Awesome.

Even though he lost, I think Ricardo Torres' counterpunching against Miguel Cotto was absolutely brutal.

Most James Toney fights have sequences of astounding counterpunching in them. The fight with Jirov is a stunning example.

I'll throw in the latter rounds of Sal Sanchez v Azumah Nelson, round 10 of Hopkins v Trinidad, and almost all of B-Hop's second fight with Antwun Echols.
