    I honestly cannot decide now.....

If it was between the Lonsdale belt and challenging a paper champion I would go with the Lonsdale....

I honestly didn't post this with Hatton in mind, he beat Zoo after all. It was the McEwan thread that got my tiny mind thinking.......;)

The subject of this thread sounds more like a tribute to Henry Cooper's career.:good

:goodWe had a "Cooper vs Bruno" thread a while back and, while I think head tto head Bruno would have won, I think Coopers achievements are more impressive.

I didn't think that to start with,I just thought of him because he didn't win the Lonsdale outright-but he doesn't really fit in since he won a world title. But like I said before I edited, imagine being able to say that you fought arguably the two best fighters in your era. With all due respect, but I don't really think a Lonsdale belt, prestigous though it is,can match that

Definately. Just look at the era in which Cooper boxed as well. Saying that, when Bruno was in his pomp there were some real big fights out there. Both incidentally admired immensely by the British public as well. Very good comparison of careers that. Gaz, this is the best thread I've seen on here in a while. Hats off, mate.

How about if Hatton didn't have the Zoo win on his record? Would that change things for you?

the Lonsdale belt is very very prestigious but a Linear world title against the Man at your weight is more prestigious IMO. Dont get me wrong i think every British fighter should aim for a Lonsdale belt and it is a great achievement

Again i would choose it, btw Sibson was a very very good fighter and in a weaker era could have been 'the MAN' at MW. Jones was one tough gritty *******.

(Rudkin and Finnegn also won outright belts and i think Rudkin might have won it twice?)

    sounds alright

he wouldnt be nowhere near as accomplished as he is.

That Tszyu victory brought him the Linear LWW title, a win over an ATG LWW(albeit faded) and catapulted him into one of the ,most attractive (Box Office wse) fighters in the world without it he is another titleist.

Does he still get the linear title with out the Tszyu win in this scenario?

    Nah. No Zoo, no title...;)

Anyhoo, lets get this away from Hatton just in case things go pair shaped (again).;)
