Calzaghe fought in an era of better figher than existed in Robinson's primative age, and dominated with greater ease.

Robinson lost to Jake LaMotta, who only had one arm. All he could to was come forwards jabbing, yet Robinson, despite only having to prepare for one shot still got hit by jabs. We can conclude from this, only that Calzaghe is better ability wise.

Lets compare Calzaghe's resume to Pep, who is a super legend.

Calzaghe lost less fights, fought better opponents (none of these deubuting fighters for an easy buck), fought in more weight divisions and won more convincingly.

Fame is the other attribute. Calzaghe was a good looking man like say an Ali. Now, if Ali had looked like Jake LaMotta he would be no greater than the superior boxer George Foreman. Good looks make a fighter great, Calzaghe even has them.

He is complete in terms of thing legends of this sport have, to make them legends.

Calzaghe dominated Hopkins. Every round was him except the first, which was a 9-9 round due to the flash knockdown.

Hopkins struggled to land at all, proof of Calzaghe's defensive mastery.

 

No it won't because we've done this a thousand times. He'll be in the HoF, which has been diluted a lot over the years, but he doesn't have an ATG legacy.

 

Any other post that cements your legacy as the worst poster on ESB.

 

He was a great fighter. I don't think anyone in the history of boxing SMW to LHW beats him without some serious trouble. Based on that criteria i think he's an ATG. He will be appreated in time.
