Cos everyone knows that this is Pacquiao level, right? He's on a par with Michael Jennings. Other than that, I don't see much point in picking a come-back fight against Marquez if not for the sole reason of setting up a Pacman fight.
Floyd's skint and needs the money. He'll target the loser of the Cotto v Pacqiaou fight which I think will be Cotto. Pac will either retire or fight Mosley after that. Not a chance Floyd will fight Mosley either.
lol u guys actually sit there and analyze floyd mayweather all day.. thats how i know he is great.. the guy was retired and u guys were still bloggin his name every day and analyzing who and why someone can beat him.... if the man wants to be paid the right way for a job that u couldnt do then let him get what he think he worth... he has been boxing since he was born so i think its only his right to accept the most money that he can get
So Marquez brings more cash than Mosley? The reason he isn't great is because he has the incessant need to convince us that he is. The poor ticket sales for his mismatch are also an indicator of his false perception of his standing in boxing.
That was an interesting read, until i came to this line at the end "Just remember where you heard THAT first." atsch what a pompous arrogant twat
The writer obviously isn't a big Floyd fan. neither am I.... but I reckon the money is too much to turn down for everyone for it not to happen.
Pretty much agree, although I would replace the word great with legend, because Floyd is a great Boxer.
Floyd having the misguided opinion that he deserves a bigger cut of the purse will be a major obstacle.
Mayweather hasn´t seemed to care too much about what the fans think of him, or at least he always tries his darnedest to make it seem that way. But if he beats Marquez like most expect him too and then refuses to fight Pac, the entire boxing world will just absolutely crucify him to a degree they haven´t done before, i believe. I mean, a chance for the 2 very best p4p fighters to settle things in a direct confrontation? Nobody who has any warm feeling toward the sport should or would ever forgive him for passing up on that. I hope that even ´money may´ has enough pride and selfrespect not to let that happen.
