I just wonder how Kessler is going to deal with his promotional troubles and participate in the tourney. But it can save his career if he could fulfill his contractual obligations with this one.

The other big question: how will the evil organizations let this tourney happen? How about titles, mandatories, rankings etc.? It's a big question.

It was the IBF's decision since the Froch negotiations never finalized.

What? Interboxe chose to fight Andrade instead of Froch on Showtime.

Chances of it happening aren't too low, chances of it involving TOP welterweights are very low. Imagine...Cotto, Mosely, Mayweather, Williams all fighting each other...It won't happen but I suppose a fan can dream.

They didn't choose anything. The purse bid acme and had a fixed date.

They had to end negotiations before the date the bid would be but Froch didn't find no british tv so no money.

Calzaghe has already proven what he needs to in boxing. There is no need for him to come out of retirement to fight anyone!

This thing is exciting, I think the format is damn near perfect especially that it is a round robin and one loss doesn't eliminate a fighter.

My early prediction is that I think Abraham is going to win it!

:thinkYou sound kinda bitter... don't worry, Manfredo Jr. and Lacy will still be available for Pavlik at 168. :D

Last I heard Pavlik was still at 160 with Saurland pricing AA out of a fight with Kelly. So, how do you think this affects Kelly? :nut

And if Kelly decides to move up, these guys will have cleared the landscape of each other. Losers careers are all but over cuz what will be left for them? They will have been knocked out of 'the picture' in 18 months times.

Nope. Don't make the semi's and your career is all but over. That means two may as well retire. The three that don't win won't be considered worthy contenders even. Big risk for a promoter to take given the current climate. Of course they can get new prospects and will have their money in their pocket.
