Gonzalez was an excellent amatuer, beat Bowe worse than Lewis did in the amatuers, but in this fight you can clearly see what happens to a fighter if he doesnt adapt his style to the pro game. Wladmir has not, nor did Lewis at the time that Lewis Bowe was supposed to happen. Lucky for Lewis.

Wlad probably beats Bowe. Bowe had a porous defense and he would eat punches and get stopped. Bowe avoided big power punchers for good reason. We saw what Andy Golota did to him, and Andy is a medium-hard puncher. A big puncher with quick hands annihilates this over-rated chumpion.

Surely, you wouldn't be comparing Gonzalez to Wlad, just because of their height similiarity. Gonzalez did absolutly nothing in this fight to keep Bowe at bay. No jab at all here. So your visual argument is kind of thin. And whatever the result may be prime for prime, Bowe's prime was so short lived, Wlad is still the better career boxer and will go down in the record as the more important fighter.

Bowe was way overrated!!! The only reason we are still talking about him was because he matched up well stylistically with Holyfield and because Golota drilled him in the nuts 789 times! Any version of Wladimir Klitschko whups Bowe's a$s! The young Klitschko, the pre-Manny Steward Klitschko, the Klitschko that fought Corrie Sanders. So long as, he is not the drugged Klitschko ie the one that fought Brewster, he wins.

Because of the Holy and Golota mega fights, Bowe has garnered some kind of mythical reputation. He was a very good fighter in his short prime, but would still lose to most elite fighters, including Wlad.

"being drugged" is the worst excuse I have ever heard, there was ZERO proof the guy was drugged. he got his ass kicked

I did say Prime Bowe, and it would of been enough to get Wlad out of there!! Not to mention Bowe had a much sturdier beard!!!

Bowe would gave Wlad fits on the inside, where Wlad would have trouble holding a guy 6'5 240 from banging him. Wlad's chin and toughness at the the top ranks is as weak as it gets. Alot of people forget Bowe was not prime in 96 when he fought Golota, and he still made the fight relatively competitive and was able to floor Andrew as well in their fights.

Yeah there was the odds went from 15-1 Klitschko to even money in ten days. Klitschko goes from winning the fight easily to not even being able to stand up.

I grew up watching Bowe, Tyson, Holyfield, and Lewis. These guys were the best of my generation/decade during the 90's. I believe all 4 would beat Wlad by knockout, with Tyson having the easiest time disposing of Wlad, based on the styles match-up.
