This is what I love abot Haye.... so good for the sport. Always willing to make sacrifices to give the people what they want! A true warrior and peoples champion. David Haye I salute you!!!:good
I'm sure Longcount can do some clever **** with Dale Winton on Vitali's head on some of the infamous Klitschko pics
what does it say when froch and haye can't get tv deals, imagine how big and hyped they'd be in other boxing nations
Haye was on 5 live today talking about th tennis. Probably a coincedence, I only caught the end of the interview.
I can understand Froch to a certain extent but Haye is personable, charismatic and in the blue riband division of boxing. Its shocking that he wants to fight on the Beeb and can't get a deal.
"It seems the BBC can find money for private flights and iPods but not a great British sporting event like this" - Adam Booth Fair enough comment The BBC bosses are just self serving wankers - who use our money on themselves rather than putting it into what we want to see on the TV Its just all a big con
i don't see how anyone can justify paying tv tax, the license fee is one of the most outrageous scams in history, its really a poll tax on the poor, how many rich SOBs would get a visit or a prison sentence for not paying it? while deprived areas are incessantly targeted A cumpolsury license fee for a television is an encroachment upon my rights especially when that money is wasted, spent on gifts for jonathan ross, gymnastics and everything else except what i want (boxing) not only that its also not impartial and censors material i'm seriously thinking of getting rid of the tv and not wasting my money i know one person won't make a difference and a campaign won't really get enough people on board, but this is really eating away at me, something i have to do on principle.
:goodWell said. The licence fee and the people who swindle us for it are nothing but a sham masquerading as a 'fee'. It's wank- I hardly watch anything on the BBC! MOTD and the odd documentary is what I pay for every year. After the explosive impact that the Bunce campaign has had so far in terms of numbers, it does make me think that sportsfans as a unit could put enough pressure on the BBC to vastly improve their sports output. Unfortunately, there are simply not a lot of boxing fans who can make a difference in terms of numbers lobbying the BBC. I personally think there should be a BBC 5 TV channel similar to BBC radio 5 with a wide variety of sports programming to actually give ALL licence fee payers a fair crack.
Good post mate, a "BBC Sport" channel running 6-8 hours a day surely isn't too much to ask for the money we pay?
Well that's the thing, BBC 4 is just the same **** repeated all the time. Rather than put stuff on the red button when the timeslot runs out they could just say switch to BBC 5. They could also just repeat old matches and documentaries as well. It's a brilliant idea if I don't say so myself! I may start a petition up and see how far it goes.
I read somewhere (and it sounds realistic to me) that nearly 80% of BBC3s programming is repeats so its not as if the Beeb are too bothered about that sort of thing.
