Of course not. A lot of it is just banter although some posters cannot see past their hate for a particular fighter and Haye will never be able to change their views. Funny thing is most of us who know Haye well, know that he is a very likeable, respectful guy. It's just this sport requires a certain "sell" to promote some fights and the usual suspects fall for it everytime.
Not really. Pretty sick of the pinheads trying to say K is a ***** somehow because Haye pulled out of the fight though.
I blame Haye for fighting once in 15 months since he began hyoing himself as the new great heavyweight. I blame him for having just 23 fights at age 28. I certainly haven't seen him do anything couragous yet and I wonder if all that bravado will be there when he is actually in the ring with either Klitschko and realizes that these guys are better than they look on tv....
ahh STFU. Is there some unwritten rule in boxing that I dont know about which says champions from the crusierweight division have to earn a shot at the HW champ instead of like the lower weight classes were numerous champions move up to fight for titles all the time and people say nothing. Haye was the unified/undisputed CW champ, hes done enough to get a crack at the title.
Nonsense. He has proven in public that he is anything but "respectful". In fact, he is the least respectful prominent personality I can think of.
If he can beat a top 10 heavyweight he might have earned his shot. Otherwise, he is getting it because he is notorious.
I like to see hayes step away from the brothers for one fight, an fight a contender, just to give this hype a break, an then go after the brothers for a early 2010 fight, if verse chagaev or ruiz, would be a worthly challenge, or even chambers,,,For what ever reason the fight was stopped cause of him, an he has to own up to that, no doubt who ever he fights next, will be a big payday if he fights in england, aleast that what you nuthuggers make it sound like, so why not take a tune up that is a big pay check
The history of boxing has shown that cruiserweight champs have to usally fight to earn a right to challenge the top. The only exception to that being Spinks. Holyfield had to fight to prove himself as a HW, So did James Toney, Gomez had to wait 8 years after being the cruiser weight champ to get his shot.... So saying that David Haye shouldn't hae to prove himself isn't out of line. On the subject of faking an injury because he wouldn't get paid (which i think he did). I think if I was in his situation I would have done the same thing. Based on this, Wlad did the right thing in fighting Chag, because Haye needed to detach himself from his contract and start anew so he could get paid.
