I thought you aren't back in Liverpool yet though Al? Anyway, if you did find it, remember this, GPater absolutely despises scousers.

Haha, i'm kidding mate, so did you find it?

yes think I've found it, first of all I've got to get it transferred to dvd. Got to make sure it's there first. I've found nine 8mm films with no box and one boxed. That is one of the Ezzard Charles vs Joe Walcott fights. There are 2 empty boxes, Max Baer vs Tony Galento and the other one is Manuel Ortiz vs Luis Castillo feb 26 1946, the third fight. Just hoping that one of the unboxed ones is the Ortiz fight, sure I remember watching it years ago. From memory some of the others are Pep vs Perez, Steele vs Lesnevich, Zale vs Cerdan, Graziano vs Robinson. There are some Joe Louis and Marciano fights as well.
So fingers crossed, just got to wait till I get back to Liverpool and get the old projector out.

Phoned me mum before to have a look and it wasn't there amongst the old cine films so I thought it must be here. After ripping the loft apart with no luck had a look in the bedroom and found it with all me Cuban cigars.

Great work mate, hope you never had your mum up the wall looking for you!

On a totally different note altogether (because you mentioned the word 'cuban'), i watched the film 'che' the other day, well it's in 2 parts actually, very intriguing, also watched 'the lost city', which shows the man less, but from a very different viewpoint. Anyway, sorry for the subject change ESB. Just had to say cos they're both class.

GPater, i've never spoken to Toney but i've seen him fight and he was in the changing rooms once before i went out for my fight at Everton Park Sports Centre, big man.

Che Guevara was from Argentina by the way, i don't really want to start mentioning him, because there was a thread in the lounge on him and there's plenty of ill feeling towards the man, you don't know what kind of feelings you're bringing up by throwing his name about. But i'll say this, i got very intrigued and have researched the hell out of it recently.

I only fought amateur for a little while a some years back, nothing of note like. As you can see though, i'm still an obsessive maniac to this minute! Loved it while it lasted though.

That's what boxers always say, i think about it a lot though, but wouldn't have worked out to be honest GP.

I heard him i think on the local radio, it's just a vague memory but i'm sure he might have given me the impression he did just by that.

Sure it was him, ask him just in case, i might be wrong.

Funny enough just reading a book called Cuba by stephen Coonts, nothing to write home about, It's a novel.
Talking about books though, I've been reading yhe Mersey fighter one you sent me. Did you have a look at it yourself? Andy Holligan is talking about the Chavez fight and amongst all the screaming Mexicans he heard "C'mon Andy lad". He looked out the ring and it was Robbie Davies.

hopefully i definitly want to do it and i think im good enough. In the gym the longer we spar the better i do i dont waste much ireckon i would be a better pro.

i have spoken to trainers and promoters and i know it will be tough but they said they would take me pro.

Obviously im not naturally gifted but i work a hell of a hard and im a good learner.

hopefully one day though, just be hard work. But i have given most of my adolescent hood so whats the point of it being wasted
