Hearns and Arguello is a toss-up for best straight right.

Arguello is the best puncher in history for my money.

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit this, but I'm unfamiliar
with Arguello's best fights. Could you guy's show me which were his best?

I still like Hearns' for his combination of sheer speed and power and his ability to consistently get opponents out of there early. Alexis rarely took people out as early as Hearns, he was more for slowly reading and setting his opponent up then getting them out of there when they started to wilt. Hearns could basically get almost anyone out of there early, and often did.

Hearns' right hand was more prominent and at the core of his attack, tho he set it up superbly with jabs and hooks to the body. Alexis fought more methodically and patiently.

I think i'd have the Joe Louis right hand above Alexis too. Louis might be the most potent offensive force ever, full stop.

Michael Spinks right hand at 175 was awe inspiring too. Wilfredo Gomez too. GREAT right hand bombers.

Guys like Monzon too, tho not a one punch bomb, had greatly used right hands. Very effective.

All of Arguello's punches were nice.

I always love a right uppercut to the body. Duran and Pedroza (often "body" meaning "testicles") are up there, and certainly Arguello's too.

Hearns righthand was thrown faster but Alexis was more precise with his. Both hit hard as hell but I always thought Arguello's was thrown straighter.I like how he walked Mancini into his righthand by hooking Mancini first.

Obviously great right hand and paralysing, but in terms of speed/accuracy and ability to lead with it lets give a mention to Ali, Hopkins, Mayweather, Tyszu off the top of my head

What about the jab? He could measure with it, tap with it, set-up with it, and use it like a jack hammer. AND that **** was lazer guided!
