Floyd Mayweather Jr. (compared to Mosley & Cotto) is the safest fight for Pacquiao...

I don't see Mayweather knocking Pac out. Not gonna happen. IF Mayweather was to win this fight, it would come down to the cards. Manny ate bombs from EM, MAB, and JMM.

Fact as, as stated earlier in this thread, Mayweather is not known for being a power puncher. A good, clean, technical puncher. He scores many points. But not a KO puncher. and yes I know he some KO's, but 25 out 39, with what i think is only 5 KO's, and the rest where TKO's.

I agree. Cotto is the only one of the 3 that has chin issues and worst defence of the 3, which suits Pac's style. Mayweather presents the most difficulties, he might not have the power that Cotto and Mosley have but he could simply outbox Pac for 12 rounds and never allow him to get his rhytm.

If anything. He takes a worse beating from Floyd because he doesn't get stopped as soon as he will from fighting the other 2.

You are acting like he wouldn't get beat up at all.

As much as i think that Floyd could be in trouble against Pac you have to consider the weight in which this fight will take place and the potential effects on Mosley and Cotto of fighting @ 142/3 .

While you say Floyd is the least destructive (and you are right) , isnt the art of boxing to hit and not be hit , Floyd does this better than anyone and it would not suprise anyone if Floyd walks away without a scratch on his face and a tight points win ala De La Hoya , Castillo etc etc .

Mosley and Cotto would be weight drained fighting at any other weight below 147 , Cotto is a huge WW and Mosley hasnt fought below 147 since 02 and has fought several times at 154 .

Therefore i make Floyd the most dangerous opponent for Pac in terms of i just dont think he's got enough to hunt him down and stop him and would fancy Floyd to outbox him and maybe stop him .

Cotto is the safest poor defense, shaky chin easily frustrated.:deal

Knives7 voted for Mosley and he has a point by stressing that if Mosley shows his age then he could be the safest fight...

So far, members here voted Cotto as the safest, Floyd in 2nd and Mosley the toughest fight for Pacquiao...

Without a shadow of a doubt, Cotto is the best opponent for Manny stylistically.

Floyd would be a difficult opponent, but I still think Manny could do it.

Manny would not see the final bell against Mosley. Mosley is all wrong for him.

Calm down... I didn't say PBF didn't beat some guys (see Gatti) but compare it to how Mosley and Cotto did their beatings, Floyd's looks like done with pillows...

I'm guessing boxers would prefer to be in the ring with Floyd rather than with Mosley or Cotto... With Floyd, they're in safe hands...

Why the **** do people say "The Mosley that destroyed Margarito"...This is ridiculous, Mosley has always been known as a big hitter and physical fighter, Margarito throws slow wide punches and has NO head movement or anything. I was surprised that Mosley was able to TKO Margarito and his notorious chin but honestly, Margarito was the perfect style for Mosley. Mosley has always struggled against actual boxers, not brawlers.
