Floyd Mayweather Jr. (compared to Mosley & Cotto) is the safest fight for Pacquiao...

You seem to forget that Mosley struggled against Mayorga, got outpointed and beat to the punch by Cotto - imagine the problems Pacquiao's speed and awkward movement would present to Mosley. Mosley is not a counterpuncher and like I said, he struggles against boxers and not brawlers - Manny will be landing that left straight all night long on his way to a UD unless he gets careless and Mosley manages to catch him with something ugly.

In all honesty the safefest fight would be Cotto.....Miguel will be slower, hes not as skilled manny, and the 145 limit will be an issue..the only things Miguel has manny in are power and size.

What are you on about? What's worse losing to a great, great technical boxer like Floyd via decision or getting BRUTALLY KO'D ala Roy Jones Jr and Ricky Hatton.

The only way Mayweather is going to KO Manny is by Manny soaking up loads of punishment from and getting KO'd in the later rounds. There's no shame in that. Imagine if Manny had KO'd DLH in the manner he KO'd Hatton how heartbreaking would that be seeing someone of DLH's calibre brutally KO'd and dribbling on the canvas.

There's something chilling about seeing someone like Manny KO'D in the way Hatton and Jones were and Mosely and Cotto as big WWs could do just that.

I've repeated and repeated myself in this message but this is what happens when a small framed man like Manny fights the bigger guys...there's the risk of being KO'd. Remember Roberto Duran - Thomas Hearns. That hurt seeing someone like Duran thrown around like a rag doll.

DelaHoya quit after receiving a long 8 one sided beating is just as humiliating as Ricky Hatton being KO'ed cold so quickly inside 2 rounds... Nothing to choose from the two humiliating losses...

I don't think it's just as humiliating at all. He quit on his feet because there was just no point in carrying on, Oscar could not be competitive in the fight and didn't have an answer for Pacquiao's speed.

Quiting when you are competitive and in the middle of a war could be said to be a sign of weakness. Quiting when you are not in any way being competitive is an intelligent and honourable thing to do. Oscar had too much respect for himself to carry on being outpunched like that.

It's better than having your dribbling unconcious face all over every website and newspaper the next day.

I still have great respect for Oscar. Hatton on the other hand after the loss came up with every excuse in the book. Just as he did after the Mayweather loss.

If DelaHoya didn't quit, I'm expecting to see Oscar's face (if not his ass) touching the canvass in the very next round...

Yeah I agree. DLH has a granite chin but I don't see him soaking up more punishment like that for another 4 rounds.

Even Coach Freddie Roach considers Floyd as the safest fight for Pacquiao... Roach said, Floyd is too small and too fragile for Pacquiao...

    to quote Floyd:
"Has anyone ever beaten me??...*waits for the no*, Have I ever been knocked down *waits for the no*"

Come on, there is no precedent for beating Floyd so you really can't call him the safest bet amongst these guys, thats really just belittling everything he's accomplished

Among Floyd, Mosley and Cotto, Floyd is the safest among the 3... Floyd is not known to destroy opponents as badly as Cotto and Mosley...

Even smaller boxers are not afraid to fight Floyd, for example JMM... Do you think JMM will dare to challenge Cotto and/or Mosley?? Hell I think JMM will not ever do that...

Even with all the advantages (bigger, faster, stronger, younger, longer reach, more skilled, etc., etc.), welterweight boxer Floyd was not able to destroy/KO lightweight boxer JMM...

That's how safe a fight with Floyd is...:D

Yep you can almost always expect that Floyd won't beat you brutally... It's safe to have a fight with Floyd in terms of physical damage...;)
