Yeah, I doubt he's hurting. I'm just saying that seeing how he's in the twilight of his career he needs to be selective.
FLoyd is only hurting for money, and it seems he is good at big money fights. Just wait for the first lose and the whole Floyd's career will become a joke.
This is one of the major reasons why boxing is losing ground to UFC; top guys/name guys can duck competition and still get paid, and boxing fans idiotically label guys (like Mosley) "exposed" if/when they lose a fight or two to tough opp. On the other hand, sh*t like PBF can get by fighting 2nd-rate opp, remain unbeaten (w/some questionable decisions), talk sh*t and get paid for it--and people are all over his sack! Along w/far too many weight divisions and belts, this is one of boxing's major deficiencies.
Well, he TRIED w/Pac, didn't he? I think it shows that other boxers are far less worried about facing PBF than they are about facing the much-older SSM--easier money for an easier fight.
Lets not act as if Floyd never avoided a fight with Mosley now. I recall Floyd turning down a fight with Shane about a year ago by dismissing him as a sparring partner. Floyd's exact words were "Shane is a sparring partner. I dont fight sparring partners"
What a waste, huh? I wouldn't even care so much if he lost, or had lost, a few fights against top comp. Sh*t, I thought he clearly lost the fight against DLH! He wasn't exactly overwhelming in his two against JLC, either. The main thing is: there has been many challenging fights he's chosen to avoid. In the long-run, this'll hurt his legacy.
