So based on your logic Cotto isn't a true professional?

If I were a boxer, I'd never fight in Germany, Brittain or MSG.

At the time of the Corley fight he was not. he was still developing. As of right now I think he knows how to handle a crowd a lot better.

in all sports, home-court is an advantage. Boxing is no different.

and that goes beyond the judges. Do you think Cotto would have fared as well against Clottey if the fght was in Ghana?

I think 'dodgy' results aren't solely happening outside of the US.

Just ask Lennox Lewis (v Holyfield) or Jeff Fenech (v Azumah Nelson, managed by Don King) about the quality of juding in the US.

Robberies are robberies, and happen all over the world.

Felix Sturm is probably pretty sure ODLH got a few 'hometown favours' in their middleweight fight too.

It will be interesting to see if the 'go where the money is' stance held by so many US fans will stay the same when fights go outside of the US. Right now Germany is putting on a lot of big fights, I hope it continues.

I have seen so many bad decisions in America. One of the worst was when Dale Brown beat the crap out of O'Neil Bell in Bell's home town, even Bell's fans booed. Brown never got a rematch.

exactly! What the **** kind of patriotism is that goes goose stepping off uncritically everytime the government tells you its in their strategic interests. It ain't like Vietnam was ever a threat to us.

your the Champ Right, why give up any advantage you might have by fighting in the other guys backyard with possible change of climate, food,& organization.
Ali only boxed around the world because governments or big business were prepared to back the big paydays that he demanded for instance who in USA would have payed out to watch him Ko The likes of Richard Dunn(Germany) Rudi ****rs (Jakarta) Alvin lewis (Dublin) Jean Pierre Coopman(Puerto rico). No fight where the money is it's a very short career

Jones refused to fight Michalczewski for a huge payday, it's a shame.

Klitschkos have fought in America many times. Vitali won the WBO title in London.

Terrible post. Winky Wright made a career off of beating Eurobums in Europe. There are very few Europeans especially below middleweight that are worth fighting. And those that are are East Euro's.
