Povetkin scheduled to face Klitschko this fall

Briggs would be a dangerous fight for Wlad for exactly 1½ rounds, after that Briggs gets outclssed, embarrassed and KO'd.

i like povetkin, and hes the best non-klitschko in the top 10 right now, but hes gonna get beat handily.

hes just too damn small to really land on wlad, and he has 0 head movement, so hes gonna be taking a lot of shots.

if wlad didnt have such a great reach advantage over him, itd be competitive, but he does, so it shouldnt take long for wlad to get him out if he lets his hands go.

 

Why ? Briggs couldn't beat Sultan....Povetkin > Sultan... Briggs' stamina is average and his workrate is **** compared to povetkin's...

 

I think Povetkin is a good challenger and everything, but he is way too easy to hit. He has a nice workrate, but he uses his head to block punches....that wont work against a guy that can punch like WK.


I suppose its entirely possible that Povetkin could rush WK all night and make him tire out which will make him vulnerable, but I highly doubt it. Povetkin is way too easy to hit and WK hits way too hard. I also think WK's ring intelligence will basically take away Povetkins biggest strengths.

 

I disagree only because Briggs has not thrown more than 5 punches per round since the 90's. Seriously, watch his fight with Lyakhovich, I swear I could count his punches thrown on one hand per round....it was incredible how poor his stamina is. What a waste....

 

I assume Atlas is going to devote most of his time teaching head movement because Povetkin needs it.

 

Agreed....as of now his main defense is hoping WK breaks his left hand on his face/head. The guy cannot be missed. He is not big rnough to bully WK, so WK will throw punches from range that will connect to that big stationary head of Povetkin.

 

In any other era he would be mediocre.

 

I figured this would be Wladimir's next fight. Wladimir will win by TKO in the middle rounds, I expect it to be a little like the Chagaev fight except Povetkin will be more succesful early on.

 

If Pov can get inside, with out taking too much on the way in, he could win, but he must get inside and look to land some hard **** when he does. Chageav after all his injuries & diseases was a joke.

Wlad could fight Godzilla-the four horseman- yet this douche would find a fault in each and everything else. Nicely said Chef:good
