    He won the wbc light-flyweight title from a man called Rafael Lovera who had never had a professional boxing match in his life before that one.

    Title indeed, very different from a championship.

    On the morning of a proposed fight in Los Angeles. Manuel Ortiz' manager & the promoter of the card had to bail Ortiz out of a Tijuana jail & drive him all the way up to Los Angeles for the fight, Which he won by knockout!
