Macklin vs Barker at Alexander Palace on Sep 5th

Great news, with a bit of luck this will be on ITV4.

Maybe Mackin left Warren because he wasn't going to bid on this fight?

 

Pretty sure ITV are sticking with Hennessy til the end of the year then axeing the contract after that (a year early).

Looking forward to this fight, good venue for it, 4,000 is a decent attendance, if it is a Hennessy show though it'll have to have a better undercard than his usual southern area title fight + fury beating on a bum that he's being putting out lately.

I wouldn't be so sure about that, afterall he didn't win the bid for the Macklin v Elcock fight so I don't see why he'd have won this.

Warren never seemed to care much about Macklin, Matt was right to leave him(again).

The only think I've heard is internet gym/ sparring rumours.

 

I heard he has a dodgy chin but really can't even remember him going down or looking badly rocked

 

The ITV deal from what I can gather is done. I might be wrong but they were going to show Hen cards till end of year but I read a fortnight ago that they decided to pull the plug completely.

 

I didn't see the fight but I read that Conroy McIntosh knocked him down twice a couple of years ago, so that must be whats behind it.

Any fighter who gets knocked down these days is chinny atsch

 

i heard he got done in the rib by kessler and had to go home early that was a couple of years ago.

either barker wins on points or macklin stops barker, should be a good scrap, this is exactly what british boxing needs a fight like this.
