    Indeed.

But they have this one in Mortal Kombat format.

they should throw in Bute and Pavlik since he's sitting at 160 doing absolutely nothing

That's it but with an extra point for scoring a KO.

    Meh.

I had that thought at the Lightweight Lightning presser.

We jad Barrios and Casamayor there and just a small stare down between Barrios and Valero.

    Unacceptable.

This is the best thing to happen in boxing in a while.

Props to Showtime, the fighters, and the promoters for making it happen...if it indeed comes off.

It's not just Showtime. The Sauerlands (who came up with the idea and presented it to Showtime), and the television networks in the UK (Sky), Denmark (Viasat), and in Germany (ARD), all deserve props for making this happen. :happy

If we could get more things like this, boxing would be so much better off. Imagine a welterweight tournament. Or even a lightweight tourney with Diaz, Guzman, Valero, Barrios, etc.

My tentative pick is Kessler. I actually think he will go undefeated throughout.

I thought Showtime showed interest in stepping up when they signed JT for a few fights. I was afraid they had lost it after his loss to Froch. Guess I was wrong.

I'm still not going to be convinced until I see Palle say he has relinquished his rights to Kessler.

If anyone goes a perfect 5-0 through this tourney, they won't just be a P4P fighter, they'll be on the fast track to HOF type credentials. This is the type of thing that can help create a legacy.

:think OK, so Kessler enters the semis with 9 points, and so does Abraham if his schedule includes Taylor and the Andres. :yep

It's a shame Bika and Bute don't round this ****er out, but the idea of a round robin series where these fighters are facing each other is so freaking good.

Whoever walks out of this series the winner deserves to be Top 5 P4P, I could also see this thing generating quite a bit of interest if they do it right, do a Countdown/24-7 style show on Showtime before the fights.

Is this the beginning of a UFC style era to boxing?
