Every time he's fought above 160- the rematch with Taylor and B-Hop's sensational beatdown- he hasn't looked comfortable. Expect to see a catchweight situation. It would not suprise me one iota.
Surely trying to beat Kessler by a bigger margin is more of a statement to JC, though?:think Who knows- in boxing no-one knows what the **** is going on.:huh
Good way of looking at it. Froch does a lot of talking now i'd like to see if he can do anymore if he beats kelly
Calzaghe? I doubt Calzaghe bats an eyelid after what Hopkins did. Not saying its right...but thats how he'll see it.
I hope he doesn't drop out of the tournament for Pavlik. Froch will be guaranteed his next few fights are gonna be on sky and in america, what more could he want? And they're gonna be against the very best in the 168 division.
The ??? should indicate that it is maybe something that Froch is thinking about rather than the authors opinion :jjj
that atsch...wasn't aimed at the author but rather the thought of that suggestion even going through Froch's mind :tong
Same here- I mentioned on another thread that maybe HBO's money has pushed this fight. ****ing boxing politics come up with more to short change the fansatsch.
I'm a bit torn on this one, I don't have a lot of faith in the tournament seeing it through to the end and Pavlik is good name/ earner for Froch but on the other hand the tourney IS a noble idea.... If I were Froch I think as a belt holder I'd ask for a optional fight to take on Pavlik either before the tournament starts or instead of one of the less attractive opponents and ask for the score to the adjusted/ averaged when the league is computed.
