Pac is just hyping to fight to generate more interest than the JMM Floyd fight. At the end of the day, the fight will done at 145. Arum will try to sweeten the pot for Pac. Pac is truly a shrewd businessman. I mean, some guys around him like Koncz.

its called hype. the same way pbf curses and bashes people to draw hype. pac does it in a less provocative manner compared to pbf.

So by claiming he wants the fight at 143 draws hype?

It only draws people to believe Pacquaio is in doubt of himself and not want to watch the fight.

Yeah I fail to see how saying that he wants the fight at 143 draws hype. Most people seemed hyped up as it is for the 145 showdown.

If it's hype it's relatively unnecessary and ultimately worthless.

so what if pac doubts himself that he konws he is not a real WW? it doesn't make him less great that he is willing to admit that he could not take cotto at a higher weight. it just means more that pac is not a real WW as some of you are trying to make it out to be.

let's face it, pac is only a jr. WW. cotto is a WW. they are trying to negotiate which is the fairest catchweight they have to fight. it's the same when floyd had to make jmm come way up to 144.

did it ever cross your miniscule brain that 142 was the optimum weight he got given the fact at 5'6 he walks around at 148-150lbs while not in training?

he trained hard for the fight, of course you lose fat and gain more muscles. did he "cut weight" as you imply just to reach that weight.
so did he "cut weight" below his optimum weight to fight hatton or dlh.

he was 138 against hatton. 142 for dlh. did he "cut weight". his weight loss was a result of training, not trying to cut weight to reach the limit dumb ass.

WW limit is at 141-147lbs right? Then why are there so many here are arguing for catchweight?? In fact 147 lbs is merely the maximum weight for a WW?

Let the 2 parties decide on their catchweight as long as they are on WW range..

    :rofl:rofl:rofl

His walk around weight is above 150.

He cut weight to 142. You dont weigh in at 142 and weigh 149 by fight night if you did not cut weight.

:lol: You're telling me Pacs walk around weight is the same as his physical peak weight ? :patsch

kinda weird because its the floydettes who are loudest in their complaints.
quite ironic considering, pbf is fighting jmm at 143.:rofl

His nutritionist even said that 145 was the lowest he could go and now Pac says 143?

    Stick to fighting 140lbers then.

Why do you bring up Floyd-marquez?

Marquez is coming up to 144 and Im completely against it. Floyd should fight him at 140 or not at all.

But that doesn't change the fact that coming up is easier than coming down.

whoever mentions who first is actually irrelevant at this point. pac and his camp signified their willingness to take this fight at a fair compromise and so did cotto and his camp. let's not take the credit away from both these fighters.

Cotto's nutritionist was vocal to say that 145 is their limit. But that's just one side of the coin. It doesn't consider the fact that pacquiao has no business fighting above 140(he's a lightweight at best for ****s sake). And the only reason why this fight is being considered is because of pac's willingness to take it to the next level.

so what is above 150? 159? 152. your so full of bull****. the guy is 5'6. plays basketball when not in training.

we should know, i have seen the guy several times and he is a skinny guy in person. and I am willing to bet he does not walk around heavier than 152. heck, i am taller and bigger than him and i weigh in around 152.:rofl

if he weighs 150, walking weigh. trains and loses fat and goes down to 142. and goes up back again to 148 after weighin, how is that not possible? in fact, that is the most logical scenario instead of that weight flux bull**** of pbf wherein you claimed it is not uncommon for pbf to lose weight after weighin. :patsch

    He's not a Lightweight anymore. He's grown into 140 and is a legit 140lber.

Pacs skill level allows him to go above that. 145 is pushing it for Cotto. Anything lower is killer to Cotto. Pac is clearly mentioning that he does not want to fight a 100% Cotto.

If the fight is signed at 145. Ill be way happier than I would be with 143.

He should fight him at 147 and Mayweather should fight Marquez at 140.

I think everyone is digging too deep into this.

Manny said he'd lobby for the fight at 142-143. He should because realistically it's in his best interest to lobby for it there. I don't think it has anything to do with lack of confidence/attempt to drain or anything like that. He's just saying what he'd do. Chances are Manny doesn't give a **** if it's at 142 or 145...but it doesn't hurt to ask now does it?
