If that's the truth then yes you are and I apologise for calling you a *****, was in a foul mood and it pisses me off when people disrespect fighters.

Funny how you changed your tune to mocking his excuses to now hating him for his life style (I don't know or care whether you posted before about Hatton, I have no desire to research your posts when you post one line crap on a forum). Oh and NEWSFLASH, lots of people who over indulge go on to very old ages, unless the guy tubs up to astronomical proportions (which is his own god given right anyway), there are a lot worse role models then Ricky Hatton with there whole careers based around being fat *******s, I assume you hate all these people too.

Ricky works very hard at what he does, if his way of coping with having to do that is to relax and let it go, tub up a little (which while he has a bit of extra flab I wouldn't call the guy "fat", not compared to the proper fat people you see walking the street) then why the hell not? When I die, I want to have used every last little bit of my body to the extreme, I want to have used every last ounce of juice it has and have a great time in the process.

Yeah you probably aren't doing yourself any favours in pro-longing your life but I know people who were healthy as anything who drop down dead, such as my friend who passed away a couple weeks ago, she was a straight A student from Cambridge, toured the world hiking up mountains and such never smoked or drink...fell down dead from what they presume is heart failure. Yet I saw an interview a couple years ago talking to the oldest woman in Britain who smoked 40 a day and ate red meat 3/4 a week, lifes a lotto, you should treat yourself good but that also means when you get the chance you should go and enjoy every last second of it cause we're not here long and we only get 1 shot at doing this thing.

PS. I don't think any pro athlete should be seen as a role model, they should be allowed to live how they like. Too much emphasis is placed on celebrities to set examples to children when it is the parents responsibility, these people aren't the next Einstein's and are rarely capable of setting a good example let alone wanting to.

Hatton's lifestyle is not a good one by the standards of a professional athlete, but I think this is over the top. Those standards are much higher than those of your average, everyday guy. He's not doing anything that most normal 20 (or even early 30) something lads who work during the week and go a bit mad at weekend don't do!

please do not give me that **** of life is a lotto, its not

there are very few exceptions like that old woman, smoking seriously increases the risk of cancer its proven so dont start saying bull**** like that, as for the girl who dropped dead she would of had a naturally weak heart hence she died of heart failure, many people drop dead every year from this sudden death syndrome and its nothing got to do with living healthy or not.

for 99.9 % of us keeping healthy will ultimately reduce the risk of cancer heart disease and other age health related illnesses, i hate when i hear bull**** stories like this, like theresa from number 85 never smoked in her life and she got cancer so that must mean smoking doesnt cause cancer, come on dont start talking on **** that you quite simply know very little about.

to what you said at the end of our post, you are right we only live once and only get one shot at everything, hatton was lucky enough to get 2 chances and he blew them both, had he been more dedictated he could of had a better stab at it, his time is gone now and when he is dying on his death bed he will think back and say damn i should of taken it a bit more seriously out of training instead of turning into father jack

i have little or no respect for people who abuse there body inb the manner in which hatton does, his body fat for his height and weight is way too high and he would be classed as obese, any doctor would give hatton advise to sort ot his diet, do some exercise and stop boozing everynight because he will suffer by the age of 40

btw as a fighter i respect every fighter and i have nothing but respect for hatton as a fighter, i have a hatton maussa signed fight poster, hatton signed picture and hatton signed gloves, say it if you dont believe me and i will prove you wrong, as a person my respect is low at this moment in time

have you not seen the video of hatton lately it was taken 5 weeks after may 2nd, he has put on around 3 stone of pure fat, yeah hatton does nothing different to the lads who go out at the weekend boozing but hatton is doing it every night by the looks of it and thats the problem, his liver is probably the size of a peanut

You're making out Hattons life has been an abject failure because of the Pac and Mayweather losses and that its down to his lifestyle. Thats just not the case on either count IMHO, hes had a good career and come up short against a couple of great fighters. Along the way hes liked a drink and a bit of junk food, I just don't see the problem TBH.

I know you don't like Hatton but this Nutrition Nazi line seems a little melodramatic to me.....;O)

ah sure what can i say, im not saying im an angel but to experiment once in a blue moon health wise has very little impact compared to binging on guiness and vodka everynight

wait i said he could of had a better stab at the two fights not he could of won both had he not ballooned up between fights, especially the pac fight his punch resistance should not have dropped so drastically in a few fights, one can only blame his bad lifestyle

hey i dont not like hatton i just dont love him, if i didnt like him i wouldnt of travelled to get his signature that day in the phoenix gym and i wouldnt of purchased the signed gloves

My mistake then, I assumed because someone harmlessly started a thread saying they'd been to an Evening with Ricky Hatton and your first response was to call him a disgrace and to claim that he was probably pissed that you may not have been too fond of him??;)

BTW theres every chance that Hattons decline is just down to his style, pressure fighters don't tend to do very well as they get to 30 years old.

People have been waiting to jump on the beer and junk food as being the problem because that's been their pet theory all along and now they can say "I told you so".

yeah his fighting style would of had an effect on his fighting age however as i said his punch resistance should have stayed fairly decent remember he was able to take tszyu's shots for 11 rounds, now he cannot take a jab off lascano

serious fluctuations in weight increases the risk of serious life threatening diseases like cardiovascular disease, it plays up with the bodies hormones especially the ones which help us perform and the list can go on and on, for someone to say hattons lifestyle had no impact on his 2nd round ko to pacquaio is simple minded, it had a huge effect and the question is not if it affected his performance its how much it affected his performance
