Nah....That's where Cotto wanted the fight against the smaller man. Cotto knows he's the bigger man and he knows he wants to make the fight as bad as Manny, but Cotto is a warrior as is Manny and they want a Fair fight. 145 is fair....Bigger man vs Smaller Man...Catch weight needs to be decided on and @ 145 No one can complain.

If COTTO is really that good he should fight PAC at his comfortable weight right now which is 140. If he's gonna fight a BLOWN UP PAC at 145, then even he wins it will be a SLUGGISH PAC who lost because of forced added weight. :hat

Apparently PAC does feel 147 maybe too much of a disadvantage. I'm with eze....I think PAC is just the better fighter even if he is smaller. But I'm not the one risking my life either. I just hope the fight is made at 145 or 147. I'll watch it no matter what weight but I think if they press Cotto to go lower than 145, which is under Cotto's suggestion it will cheapen the Victory should PAC win. Which is not a guarantee agasint Cotto.

Both camps are confident in a WIN. No one at this level seeks a fight they don't think they have a shot at winning. As professionals its the job of the fighters and trainers to ensure their fighter is at 100% come fight night and its their job to come in at or under the agreed weight. So whatever is agreed there should be NO excuses. I just feel 145 is the fairest weight considering PAC is the smaller man, Cotto is the bigger man, PAC is the P4P King, Cotto is the WW Champ and PAC is going to get the lions share of the purse WIN OR LOOSE.

PAC is NOW, at present bigger in terms of weight than JMM. But other than that JMM is NATRUALLY the larger man. PAC has just been moving up in weight, gaining muscle mass and has had more time to adjust to the higher weights. JMM hasn't been to 147 or above 135 so he's understanably smaller in term of actual weight and muscle mass.

Which listed both Oscar and Floyds weight as 154..

    Cotto can't make 140.

In all honesty eze PAC is blown up even at 140. At some point he maybe a full fledged Jr WW. But not at the moment. he's easily coming in under the Jr WW limit and could easily make 135 if necessary. Most fighters are Larger than the divsion in which they fight and cut weight just enough to make the limit. PAC is getting acclimated to the Jr WW limit now and will be "working" to make the 145lbs limit which he'll surely come in under anyway.

Man even when he fought at 140, Pac weighed in at 138. When he fought at 147, he weighed in at 142. Pac is not blown up at 145? WTF kind of BS is that

That's the weigh in. Fight night he was 148. When Corley fought at 140, he would weigh 140 fight night.

You know what guys, we will wait for this fight to be finalized so that we will have the final number on what weight this fight will take place... Then we will have our respective pick based on the agreed final weight...

Take your pick and no more excuses since you're free to pick on who you think will win on that particular weight...

Thats right, its the weigh-in. He is allowed to weigh-in as high as 147, but he still weighs in at only 142. Which shows that he is very small for the 147lb division. Against Hatton, he is allowed to weigh in as high as 140, but he still weighs in at 138, which shows that he is small for that division as well.

yep. i consider pac as a big lightweight, a small jr. welter and a very small welter. cotto, on the other hand, is a big welter.
