I support both fighters, but a rematch of this one? ..........Eh, I don't know about that. I haven't seen Tomek waiting less these days, in general. He's still at it. I wouldn't fully expect him to just follow Dawson around the ring again for 90% of the fight, but I wouldn't be shocked to see it either.
Same as I see it, a competetive fight at a catchweight for sure. I too give an edge to Dawson. That said, I think we would see Chad hurt again, and Adamek would have to seize the moment and go for the finish, this time with more gas in the tank. Dawson has improved too though, which makes this fight that much harder for Adamek.
He did look very good in the Banks fight though, showing some good improvements from way back when he fought Dawson.
not happen, dawson is 175 and will be in the next 5 to 10 years and the pole is not comming down, it is not going to happen
There are an estimated 10 million such Polish Americans (incl. Martha Stewart :deal), representing about 3% of the population of the United States.
I don't think he called him out I think he just asked for another chance to fight him. Can you really call out someone that whipped your ass good?:?
lol @ Martha Stewart. She's about as Polish as Wayne Gretzky. All they know of Poland, are their grandparent's pierogi. But seriously I give Dawson no chance of surviving with Adamek for 12 rounds at CW. LHW is a totally different story, we already saw.
The beginning of this fight was actually quite frustrating because Adamek fought a little reserved while Banks came out with much more speed than expected. Even Steve Farhood and co. were questioning Gmitruk's advice to wait and be cautious. Towards the middle of the fight, Adamek's patience and strategy payed off and he started tagging Banks with opportune shots while Banks slowed down his pace considerably. I still can't get over the monster shot Banks landed on Adamek's face, at the beginning of the 8th round. The commentators stated that you simply cannot hit a guy any harder and more flush than Banks did and that appeared to be the case. Banks loaded into that shot everything he had. Adamek took a half step back and came forward with a counter like nothing happened...Only to brutally KO Banks a minute later... This is what leads me to believe Adamek is capable of taking most heavyweight puncher's shots. Banks is really a heavyweight and will likely end up fighting there. Anyone have a replay of that final round?
Aside from the Road Warrior, Dawson has no one left to fight, in this suddenly shallow division. I guess it will be a trilogy with Tarver. Considering Dawson's undeniable talents, this is a waste of his career.
How many examples can you give where a fighter smoked another, who claimed that he had a hard time making weight then moved up and had a rematch with that some fighter and won??? It dont happen often, the guy that wins the first fight also wins the second fight no matter the situation. Adamek was dominated, he has moved on why cant his fans. A fight at 200 would look just like the fight at 175 because Adamek would still follow the much faster much better boxer around the ring and get popped all night just as he did in the first fight.
I re watched that fight last night and Adamek was frozen by Dawson's speed. He was unable to get off and time Dawson. I really don't see Adamek ever being able to beat Dawson and Chad has gotten much better since that night. Adamek struggled with Cunningham and he's a poor man's Dawson. He should give up this dream because Chad would always beat him.
What do you not understand? Adamek does not belong in the same division as Dawson and he needs to fight at CW. Maybe Adamek should come down to light welter so PAC can show him he's 20 times the boxer. Get a brain!
