It's confirmed that PBF-JMM will be fought at 144 lbs. and there's a big possibility that PAC-Cotto will be fought at 144 too ...

PAC vs JMM 3 at 144 lbs., who wins?

VOTE in the poll... and discuss...

This thread is a bit premature. Let's wait to see how Marquez does with the extra weight and then bring this thread back.

Pac's got better and is strong at the weight, Marquez is a little older and not strong at the weight. Edge to Pac and maybe he stops JMM this time. JMM is getting beat up next time so it wont happen

Have you ever seen JMM fight at that weight? How do you know that he is not strong at that weight?

Could be a bit premature but there are hints... JMM is a heavy underdog to lose his fight against PBF while PAC is a surprise favorite (maybe) against Cotto...

You can also have your opinion based on what PAC and JMM achieved so far and not looking to their future fights against Cotto and PBF respectively...

Let's say PAC and JMM will be fighting each other next at 144 lbs...

PBF is undefeated and was and still considered by some as the #1 P4P fighter in the world. JMM is moving up 2 weight classes.

Cotto has looked vulnerable in his last fights and Manny is on a title wave of 2 hot victories against notoriously popular fighters.

The betting odds are respectively also in favor of the more popular and more mainstream fighters so I don't think betting odds are a good gauge.

The only measuring stick we have in regards to a comparison between the weight increase in what Pac has done versus what JMM has done is at 135. I think that JMM accomplished better feats at 135 but I can't say how he will fair against Pac with the extra weight.

At least give JMM the benefit of the doubt after he fights PBF at that weight.

Also, should there be a Pac vs JMM 3 it would probably be at 140.

Fair enough... I will give you one scenario that might affect your opinion for PAC vs JMM at 144...

    Let's try to switch their respective opponents and maybe you can tell your pick or give some odds;

Cotto vs. JMM at 144 ?

PAC vs. PBF at 144 ?

GBP said it will be at 143-144 (real odd), so let's take the higher number...

OK let's look at the other fights.

PAC versus JMM 1: JMM knocked down 3 times.

PAC versus JMM 2: JMM knocked down in round 3 and then saved by the bell holding onto the ropes. Wanders off to the wrong corner (I love to add that bit at the end ha ha)

Bascially history tells us that Pac will get to JMM as he managed to previously and with Pac's extra power at 144 JMM is NOT GETTING UP this time.

If you also factor in that Pac has improved in leaps and bounds since their last fight and JMM has not got a chance.

Another factor to add was that Pac was cut in the second bout so took his foot off the gas for a while and still won the fight. No cut = no foot off gas which means a UD victory.

In the first fight the judge miscored the first round 10-7 instead of 10-6 for 3 knockdowns. If if had been scored correctly PAC WOULD HAVE WON THAT TOO.

So basically if you put all the facts together the only outcome is a PAC win.

You are trying to use A versus B versus C scenario which doesn't work for boxing coupled with trying to conjecture on how JMM will perform with the additional weight. Too many unknowns. Those fights alone have quite a couple of different outcomes on styles alone.
