Anybody else get pissed off at ticket prices ?

I dont mind paying £35 for a ticket at the MEN back when the likes of Hatton Farnell and even when Khan started. But now they're up to £40 and you then HAVE to pay £4.80 to book them and £2.00 for a delivery fee (Even if you want to collect them). This pisses me off but its a big show so Its not too bad but even shitty small hall events are like £35.

For example I really wanted to go and watch the Crolla/Sykes fight and my mate had asked Farnell for a ticket. That was £35 quid. £35 to go to a **** sports centre in Stoke (**** Hole) to go and watch ONE interesting matchup with no belt on the line ? The Chris Edwards fight was the only belt on the line that night and was a one sided affair. Sure, his opponent (forgot his name think it was Ahmed) put in a top effort but he was still beat in every round and wasn't meant to last.

****s me off BIG TIME. I stopped going to watch United coz I was paying around £750 a year (around £35 per game without additional costs) so I though boxing would be the better option considering I prefer it but its turning out to be just as expansive

Exactly. I know he's a bit of a ticket seller up in the north east but come on, he has proven **** all (not his fault I know) but £40.

If he fights for a British title I'll have no problem paying £40 but not after 2 ****ing fights on what is a terrible card.

The last Sunderland card I went to was £40 - but it had the likes of Moore, Munroe and Danny Williams, plus Tony Jeffries.

The latest one has Tony Jeffries....

Hell, Prizefighter may be criticised, but tickets to that cost only £25 (the one I went to) and your guaranteed some action.

ticket prices is an interesting subject and whilst i love the small hall shows i have to agree that the £35plus they ask is excessive however i would prefer to pay that than £40 for a bad view ata big show surronded by novice fans one of the things i enjoy most about small hall shows is the crowd they tend to whip up a fair atmosphere and you often end up chatting to some knowledgable types however if it gets much more expensive i will pick more carfuly what shows i attend

It's always the best thing to buy the ticket from the fighters were you can.and u pay face value and no booking fee.also we should do what they do in vegas, charge £1 tax per ticket that goes to local amatuer boxing clubs in the area.that would help local clubs

Jeffries dad sells tickets for Tony's fights, I'm assuming there is no booking fee involved there.

I can never understand why people pay so much money, only watch the fighter they follow, then spend the rest of the night in the bar.
