Don't worry, I will simplify it for you later... Just give me your opinion on the following match ups (that's all you have to do): Cotto vs. JMM at 144 lbs. PAC vs. PBF at 144 lbs. .
Wow, if we're talking 140 then PAC will DESTROY Marquez. Did you see how devastating Pac looked against Hatton. Pac's devastating speed and power at 140 means he easily wins. History tells us all boxers are not a freaks of nature like Pac, so that also tells us there is a very good chance Marquez can't carry his speed and weight up the weight divisions. Marquez is really silly thinking he can match Pac in the weight jumping and slightly naive. Pac wins this everytime.
Ok so your argument can be used against you as well. In their first encounter at 126 Pac floored JJM 3 times, in the second encounter he floored JMM once so JMM's punch resistance is better in the higher weights. JMM rocked Pac with a leaping left hook at the end of rd 2. JMM KO two opponents that have never been KO in the higher weight class.
Calm down... Yep 140 lbs. seems to be the most logical weight PAC vs. JMM 3 would take place... But how sure are you that it will really take place at 140 when their respective next fights will be in the area of 144 lbs.? .
Not correct. JMM fought differently in the second bout and it was harder for Pac to get to him BUT when he did get to him he was more effective. The knockdown in the 3rd fight was more powerful, hence Marquez wandering off to the wrong corner and also holding onto the ropes. Pac had less power at 126 when he knocked Marquez down 3 times. You and I both know if Pac had hit JMM with those shots at 144 or 140 there is NO WAY he is getting up. As for the leaping left hook, Pac wasn't troubled by that at all, he was caught off-balance by a good shot. Not anywhere near a knock-down.
That's nothing to brag about... PAC sent his last 2 bigger opponents to retirement... He made one quit on his stool and KO'ed cold the other one... .
Ok the facts are that if you look at the history of boxing there are not many fighters who have been able to bring their speed and power up the weight classes like Pac does. Going up in weight means losing speed and overloading your small frame with larger muscles - this also means lower energy levels as your small frame is using all that energy to drive all the extra muscle. What I'm saying that Marquez is naive to think that he will automatically be able to do what the freak that Pac can do. The only fact I am stating is that there is barely any other fighters out there who have gone up the weight divisions and not been more sluggish or lost speed.
So you mean PBF-JMM is also a stupid fight because we haven't seen how (stupid) JMM will look like at 144 lbs.?? .
Marquez went into the punch because he was throwing his own punch. So now he had less power at 126? Maybe he was just as powerful for his respective weight division.
Everyone knows the higher you go up the weight division the more KO power you get. I can't see PAC at 126 delivering a shot as devastating as the Hatton KO. That was brutal. Of course he had less power at 126. He weighed less? The higher the weight division the more one punch KO's you get. That's a fact. At 140 Pac retains his speed but with all that extra muscle on his legs and calfs the speed is backed up by more power. That's why he's so effective at these higher weights. DLH had never come across a fighter with that much speed AND power. Pac was beating him to the punch every time.
You have not given your opinion yet on Cotto vs. JMM at 144 and PAC vs. PBF at 144... We're waiting.... .
So you mean you don't have any opinion/idea/pick whatsoever on the forthcoming PBF vs. JMM fight because it will be at 144 lbs. too?? I'm confused here... .
