There's nothing interesting on the horizon for HBO until Floyd\Marquez.
For NonPPV; in Aug they have Diaz\Malignaggi and then Dawson\Johnson in Nov, although I'm not sure that one is confirmed. Then they have several crappy PPV cards in July and Aug. :patsch
They've been making some poor decisions lately. It seems as if they'll rather put on crappy GBP fighters the some quality match ups.

I think it might be time to reconsider Showtime.

Dawson-Tarver II and Winky-Williams reportedly set them back more than 6.5 million combined, they put $15 million into Floyd-JMM, and they've been lowballing both Pavlik-Sturm and Hopkins-Adamek. My guess is they've shot their budgets for 09 and are trying to hold the bigger fights off until 2010.

Well, screw it then they need to forget 2009 then. They just need to save their money for 2010. I'm not surprised though that Dawson-Tarver II set them back. They never should have taken that fight.

it's really a shame too because Showtime's production sucks compared to HBO's. Their ring announcers are terrible.

At least they're not terribly biased and complete idiots like Lampley or Max.

That is true, but if they pull off the super middleweight tournament it could really shift lots of viewers to their network. There is still a lot time left in 2009, fans are not alwats that patient.

I don't think Showtime's announcers are that bad, but they are below HBO's announcers...except for Gus Johnson I like that dude he gets all excited and brings all kinds of excitment. I think he is going to do the Darchinyan-Agbeko fight. (I hope)
