As for the actual picks, I believe the safe choice is seeing Kessler and one of the Andres in the final. Both of the latter are too talented to have both of them shut out, I feel.
Imagine it was: Pavlik Abraham Bute Kessler Froch Pascal Obviously it was never going to be as good as that, so I'm satisfied because of the presence of Abraham, Froch and Kessler. I really think Bute should be in there instead of Taylor.
My vote goes to Andre Ward...there are solid names on that list but I think Ward is going to rise to the challenge and shock a lot of people.
How can anyone vote "this tournament blows" ?? This is one of the strongest lineups for any tournament i've seen. Sure, a few names like Bute, Pavlik and Sturm are missing, but that's only a testament to how great the MW/SMW division is at this point. Kessler has been very inactive as of late, but if he retains his form, he should win this one, perhaps in a thrilling finale to Abraham, who has a good chance of winning as well.
