    Ali tko's 183lb. Henry. Brian London:yikes tko.
    Foreman TKO Dino Dennis.
    Frazier almost KO'd by Bonavena?
What's up? I remember how in awe I was with Ali, Foreman, Frazier trio, but where were the Euro guys/Soviets?
It may have been a different scenario had they been allowed to participate..
Did they participate in boxing at that time.
Where were they in the 70's?

    Ali TKO's blood splattered 183lb. Henry..Foreman TKO's Dino Dennis..Frazier almost KO'd by Bonavena.
What's up with this?.. it has to be the weakest era of all time.?
Today's monsters crush 'em.-even Foreman who fought at 215lbs..

I don't even know what to say to this. I'll have to think about it. It will definitely be a four-letter word, I just can't decide which one though. Any suggestions anyone??

Come on Stoic, your not that bad of a poster. Thats like me pulling out Rahman/Ruiz, Wlad/Iggy, or Williamson/Bryd. I would say 90% of posters agree that the Heavyweight division today sucks dick, while probably 90% of posters feel the 70's were a great Heavyweight era.

Well the Ali V Cooper fight was 1963 I think, and the Frazier V Bonavena fight was in the late 60's, so **** knows what you're talking about :huh

Edit - OK Ali fought Cooper twice, the other one being in 1966.

Other countries didn't have any fighters worthy enough to compete with American fighters. We were murdering the eastern europeans in the olympics, while our guys were in their early 20's and never had pro matches, most of them were in their late 20's, early 30's, men if you will and had a ton experience under their belts. Yet if you see the fighters your talking about, all good medal olympians. Ali - 1960, Frazier 1964, and Foreman 1968.

Its a shame Teofilo Stevenson of Cuba never boxed against the big boys in the 70's. He may well have beat them all.

I'm no boxing historian but even I know this thread is weak. I can't believe the threadstarter is seriously suggesting that today's boxer's are better than Ali, Foreman and Frazier. Madness.

You know after reading this a global thermonuclear war doesn't seem that bad of an idea, when you look at it from a certain perspective
