Adamek wants to move up to heavyweight, I would love him to move up to heavyweight and lose.

I think Chambers wins but nobody beats him bad. Dawson didn't beat him bad and Chambers ain't no Dawson.

Chambers is actually just as skilled and slick as Dawson, he's even better defensively. And you're forgetting Chambers has heavyweight power and throws sharp accurate punches. I think Adamek will be eating counters constantly. And Dawson beat him bad, he just has an iron chin to take all that punishment.

He won't get to fight Chambers as his fist HW opponent, of course. But if he beats 2-3 fighters in that division he will definitely target someone similar to himself in size, like Chambers or Povetkin, in order to set up a championship fight. Both present interesting matches and ones that Adamek can win, assuming he carries his speed, chin and power to the next level. Whatever the outcome, the viewer will win, as Adamek is a proven FOTY fighter.

I think the latest American HW Dream is getting to your head. Chambers has some proving to do, if he wants to be considered as talented as Dawson. And he will have to do a lot better than the hapless Dimitrenko_Only someone like Paul Williams and PBF come close to Dawson in terms of pure boxing talent at this time. I think someone like Cunnigham would decission even the best version of Chambers at CW.

I like Adamek but Chambers would beat him and badly. He's superior to Adamek in every department except power and that's debatable since we don't know how his power will carry to HW.

Possibly. But we don't know what Adamek can bring to HW. Conventional thinking would suggest that a former LHW would stand very little chance there. But Adamek has proven many naysayers wrong before when he switched to CW. People who complain that HW has become boring should welcome someone like Adamek with open arms. Lest they think another East Euro is too much for this division to take.

I don't think Chambers is the next version of Ali, the only difference is Dawson is fighting at his weight level, while Chambers is fighting boxers much bigger than he is. But in terms of skill and talent they're about the same, different styles though. But Chambers has a lot of talent and potential. He fought a good defensive fight against Dimitrenko and even though he loss to Povetkin, he rarely got hit with clean shots. I think Cunningham is a very good boxer, but the obvious physical attributes (chin and power) goes to Chambers.

My gut just tells me Cruiser is the best weight for Adamek AND for Chambers.

What is the power that you speak of? The dude has 18 KO's against unheard of opposition. The best name of his resume is a washed up, unmotivated African jelly donut, who put up a disgustingly lazy performance against him. Sorry, but Chambers has had an easy ride to fame in this shallow HW division. In my opinion, he's only been really tested once against Povetkin, and he let that fight get away from him not because he's not talented enough, but because he's inconsistent. Adamek has proven a lot more steady than Chambers and has had far more stiff comp. I'll take Adamek's power and chin over Eddie's any day.

I agree. I would love to see Chambers to move to CW but the lack of good American HWs makes me rethink this.

It's very possible Adamek can win. I'd favor chambers though.

He had a 6'7 guy (Dimitrenko) seriously hurt throughout most of the fight. The only reason why Chambers has a low KO ratio is because he had a low work-rate throughout his entire career. If you can't see that Chambers has very good power, and is really technically skilled, than you don't know boxing or your seriously underestimating Chambers abilities. And so what if Adamek has proven more, lets not forget he got rocked hard by Dawson who isn't the that big of a puncher, and Chambers hits even harder than Dawson. Chambers can possibly knock out Adamek.
